my hair is super long, when i work out i put it in braids and wear a bandana like a biker chick haha

MY HAIR IN ALL HER GLOOOORRRRRY:

    * ENVIOUS* This is why I am still growing mine even though it's a pain in my *kitten*. Thank you for that hair porn lol!

Any who I usually throw it up in a messy bun and secure it with 3 pony tail holders... it's naturally curly/fizzy and super thick so if it's not secured really well I can feel it constantly slipping down during my workout and that is too distracting >_< I like the side buns/ponytails but its too heavy to have like that during a workout..... maybe I should just thin it out again /sigh..... The things us gals do for our hair!

A bun and some pins for the front bit works best for me as I hate it when the ends of my ponytail get sweaty from hitting my back! Or something which looks slightly different, a high ponytail but the last time you are pulling through the band only go halfway so you have a kind of folded tail with the ends still secured if that makes sense?

I first put my hair in a ponytail and then get a "kerchief" and tie it around to keep any small hairs from getting into my eyes

I do this. I have to have the bandana or hair is everywhere. I alternate between a braid down the back or a ponytail. What I hate though is I end up wearing my hair up to work since it's got crimps in it ... Geesh!

    Watching this thread with interest!

I twist it up and secure it with one of these:

I just have to have it off my neck, cause it gets so sweaty, yuck.

I like my hair loose when I work out.

I spent three fricking years in the ARMY with short hair / my hair up. I'm darned if I'm going to put it up now if I don't have to!

Besides, having an after workout shower is my reward, so I don't worry about sweaty hair :)

I do this too. And I use a normal rubber band instead of a hair elastic--I know it's bad for your hair but it STAYS!

love my long hair, but on a long run I get snarls because it's also curly. A bun bounces around too much on my head, so I started doing a pony with two extra hair ties in the middle and the bottom:

I need new ways to keep my hair up when working out! I have pretty long hair so I can't just wear a ponytail - the ends really bug me :-/

I wear my hair up in a bun but that's the only way I've found that works for me. I've tried braiding it back but its really the same issue as with ponytails.

    HELP :)

I love to try new stuff with my hair and when I was performing in a group that sings and dances this worked well.
And the woman in this video has long and thick hair.

I use a headband and I do a pony-bun? Basically pull my hair through my scrunchie 2 times but on the third time, I don't pul it all the way through. I will also use a second scrunchie to make it shorter if I want.

I hate having long hair but I find it is easier to manage than shorter hair. At some point I'll go cut it all off again but for now, it will do.

My hair is maybe a couple inches longer than yours and I just do a ponytail. I guess it doesn't bother me. When I have it braided, it drives me crazy when working out.

My hair gets me too hot and in my way when working out so i need it up but I still take a shower after.

The funny thing is I hate having long hair because my mom forced me to have long hair until she got tired of my begging when I turned 14 to have short hair. I ended cutting it all off. My hair grows fast so I usually have these cycles where I cut it really short then let it grow really long then cut it short again.

I just pull it back into a low pony tail, I find its the only thing that will hold! It's annoying sometimes... but nothing else stays up, and I hate having to re-adjust my hair mid-workout!

messy pony-bun with a baseball cap! I just can't keep hair out of my face without a cap, I've tried sport headbands and bobby pins! For me nothing works better than a baseball cap.

Yup, i just tuck everything under the cap and it's out of the way. The rim also helps with sun and keeps rain off my glasses
