    I've been married, now divorced.

    I don't WANT to be alone forever, but I have no choice. And it depresses me to think of being alone for the rest of my life.

    wele to the club i have ben married then divorced started datign someone i thought was the one only to have him marry someone else behind my back then i move in with someone i thought would be it only to move back home to my parents house i feel your pain

    I'm not desperately searching... maybe that's my problem.

    I've come to the realization that I'm going to be single forever. I've been married and engaged (not to the same person) but no one ever matches up to my awesomeness...

    Any others that will be "forever alone?"

    MANY on here may use reddit (or 4chan) memes and references. But I've noticed that they are rarely actually familiar with reddit (many get them from Facebook).
    Kudos to those ladies if they are.

    Pretty sure I will be. I don't think I'm meant for "forever". And I am okay with people coming into your life, fulfilling their purpose and moving one. (I say as I am taping together pieces of my broken heart).

    I can handle being single, as in not married.

    But being alone, and not having anyone at all, THAT is what makes me sad.

    Found both my husbands when I wasn't looking for anything long term. Worked for me. 30 years married this week-for the last time.
