I have only lost 40 pounds but...

    I'm now a size 14, instead of an 18.
My thighs don't rub as much when I wear dresses!
After being a pregnant whale for 2 years straight, men are finally starting to stare again :D And not just my husband ;)
I don't have back fat rolls anymore.
I now weigh less than my husband (by 3 pounds as of Tuesday :D)

I've only lost 20 lbs but......
    My clothes are defiantly looser
I have more motivation than ever.
I can do things easier now than I could a month ago
I can run for short periods of time
    I don't desire fast food
I've made a life long friend thanks to this website.

I have only lost 3 pounds, BUT

I am making much healthier food choices,
I now know that I can hang with my kids as they grow older
I already feel like I'm a little smaller
I have walked and ran more in the last two weeks than in the last year,
I don't need to eat til I'm stuffed
I think I can actually perform well during my upcoming hockey season!

It's ain't much, but I'm just getting started!!!

I have only lost 25 lbs, but
    nothing has changed!!! HELP!!!! :(

I read your profile. Let's see, married last April and gained 20 lbs right after that. You've just shed that 20 plus another 5. I can understand that you don't notice a big difference -- you weren't heavy long enough to have that extra weight sink into your self-image. Maybe you just have to really think about the little differences like how your clothes fit. Maybe there is something you fit into at the higher weight but it was uncomfortably snug and now it is a bit loose. There's got to be something but you just need to watch for the differences and make mental notes when you notice it.

On another note, we are quick to thank people in the service. The wives and families are also sacrificing. Thank you for that! :flowerforyou: It can't be easy for you to be newly wed and separated by such circumstances.

    I've only lost 1.5kg

but I can feel muscles coming in on my arms
I'm motivated to lose a lot more
I could do Levels 1 & 2 of the 30DS and not feel like I'm going to die (therefore not having to follow Anita)
I'm struggling with Level 3 but I feel stronger
I've lost almost 2 inches around my waist
I can zip up my skirts all the way to the top
I am more disciplined when it comes to food - at least I'm learning when to stop eating

I have only lost 30 pounds but.....

Now I take my lunch to work
Now I know how to eat what I love in moderation
Now I can say no to certain foods and really mean it
Now I can walk up 7 flights of stairs and catch my breath faster
Now I can look on the bright side of these
Now I don't get hung up on the number on the scale that just won't move. I know that if I keep the good fight I will break thru it

Still trying to figure out the "quote" thing and making a response. Anyway...the NOT BEING A SLAVE TO THE SCALE...is huge huge huge for me. I REALLY want to get there. The first month I saw it move down down down...and now nothing and sometimes up....
I'm happy with having lost 11 lbs. in a month. I did not lose a pound on WW but my measurments went down and that took six weeks. I like those of you who are in it for the LONG HAUL.

I've only lost 17 pounds on MFP (but 30 total) BUT...

I can stay on the elliptical for 60 with the tension on extra high instead of 5 minutes with the tension on the lowest setting.
    I am wearing size 4s and 6s instead of 12s and 14s
I sweat like a nasty ole pig in the gym and could care less.
I curl way more than the 5 pound pink dumb bells I thought would bulk me up...LOL this one cracks me up.
I have met a lot of good MFP friends that are working hard and encouraging me onward...and I hope I'm doing the same.
I have legs to die for!

Such a good and encouraging thread. Congrats to everyone on their gains.

I have only discarded (because I'm never "finding" them again) 128 pounds but...

I no longer need medication to control my cholesterol or heartburn
    I now wear a size 10 jeans/slacks instead of 24/26 or even 28!
I now wear a size Medium top instead of a 3X
    Oh I forgot! I now wear a 38D bra instead of a 46DDD
    No more Plus Department!
I can now borrow clothes from my teenaged niece!
I have rediscovered my hip bones, ribs, and collar bones
I can easily walk 4+ miles and still feel fantastic instead of thinking I'm going to die just walking to the mailbox
My butt no longer creates a dam in the bathtub!
I can no longer bear to sit in the same spot all day doing nothing.
I get called skinny, a LOT (but I'm not, and I'm really getting tired of hearing that - and even more tired of hearing that I am TOO skinny and NEED to stop losing weight now)
I went to an amusement park this past weekend and actually rode some rides for the first time in 20 years
    - and I wasn't exhausted to the point I thought I was dying after over 10 hours in the park
    - and even wearing shorts and getting wet on some of the rides, I didn't get chafed, because my thighs no longer rub together!!!!!!
I no longer look for the closest available parking spot
I take the stairs instead of the elevator
I drink my tea unsweetened, my coffee black, and I drink mostly water
    I haven't had a soda since 29-JUNE-2011
Food tastes better - especially without all the fat and "stuff" that I used to hide it under
I like myself - I'm working on loving myself, but not there yet

And there are so many other things. I could go on all night, LOL

IMO the thread needs to be changed to "LOST" and not "ONLY lost." Whether it's a pound or over a hundred pounds, you should be proud!!! Great job on whatever you have lost! BTW, I love the topic and I am really enjoying reading what everyone's accomplishments have been....

This is exactly why I made the thread! So many of us downgrade our effort by saying I have "ONLY LOST" so much weight, so I think it's important to focus on the other things we have accomplished too to make us feel great about everything and stop focusing on the Only!!! I'm glad everyone is enjoying it, I've read every response so far!!! Keep em coming!!!
