I have only lost 19 pounds... BUT:
* I'm actually going to the gym, getting on the treadmill, and challenging myself more every day. I used to be embarrassed to go to the gym but now I feel invigorated by it.
* I bought a medium shirt (rather than the extra larges I was wearing) and fit into it! I'm usually a large, but hey, I'll take the vanity sizing.
* My size 14 jeans almost fell off of me today, even though I was wearing a belt. One of my size 12 pairs gaps in the waist.
* I've tightened my belt five notches since starting.
* I can actually see my biceps developing! And I can feel abs developing too!
* My doctor was very impressed the last time I saw her, both with my improved bloodwork results and with my weight loss.0 -
I have only lost 14 pounds but I
learned how to eat in moderation
drink more water
stop eating so much sugar
went from a 18/20 to a size 16!!!0 -
This thread should be the poster child for the anti-scale agency.
Seriously the scale means jack ****. Never let it be the full indicator of progress.0 -
I have only lost 79 pounds...BUT:
I am now loose size 14 instead of a 22.
I am the smallest I have been since middle school (yea thats sad).
I have discovered that I do infact have cheekbones, a jaw line, and collar bones.
I can fit in a medium or large shirt instead of a Extra Extra Large.
I no longer have high blood pressure.
I am starting to like the way I look and I havent felt that way in a long time.
I have gained confidence.

So many of us have a bad habit of saying, I have only lost 5lbs, 10lbs, 20lbs etc etc when we haven't hit our goal yet. I'm guilty of it too! So I was thinking we could encourage each other by playing a bit of a game and at the same time, remind ourselves of how far we have really come! Share your Successes behind your Success!
I'll start:
I have only lost 52lbs, but I......
Am now a size 10 INSTEAD of a size 20!
Can now wear Medium tops instead of 2X!
Can run for several minutes straight, when before I would get winded walking upstairs!

Most Importantly --- I can trust myself to do what is healthy for me, but also not beat myself up if I don't always stick to the plan!
Okay this totally sounds like it should be my post... not sure what size you started out but I have lost 55 lbs
I can wear a 14 instead of a 20
I am working on being able to run a 5k (up to running 2 blocks walking one etc.)
I can see that I have hips and ribs when I am laying down and I can feel the hip bones regardless
I know I am getting healthier and stronger!!!
I have brought my A1C down to the 6 range instead of 11.3
I no longer get heart burn after eating

I have taken off 80lbs but....
I am the smallest I have ever been in my life...
I went from a size 16 to a size 7(sometimes a 6)
I went from hating dresses and shorts to wanting to show off my nice thighs and calves.
I went from hating exercise to loving the feeling or sweat (even though I still have weeks of being lazy)
I went from not wanting to show my body off to my husband to parading around naked proudly
I went from being the fat, overweight wife, to the hot wife
But most importantly
I went from not wanting to be outside with my kids to chasing them around the yard when the weather permits!0 -
Fantastic! How exciting.0

I have only lost 7.8 pounds...BUT
I have more energy than I have had in years.
I'm proud of my daily Zumba workout.
My face already looks thinner!
My pants (size 20) are already starting to feel loose.
My confidence is building.
I am more aware of the world around me, because I'm not drugged up on binge foods.
I am more aware of what my body needs throughout the day.
I have a better understanding of things - what I like to eat, what nutrients I lack, how much I can push my body in a workout..
I am learning to enjoy my food as part of my day, not all of my day.
I still obsess about food - but I'm getting a lot better, and I do not feel like food is ruling my day!0 -
I have only lost 62 pounds...but
I have gone from a 26/28 to 18/20 in clothes!
I am more confident.
I now allow myself to experience things like roller coasters without fear of embarrasment.
I enjoy exercise and the feeling it gives me.
The necklace I wore for my wedding now has 2 inches of space instead of being a choker.
I can play basketball with my kids for hours instead of minutes.
I could go on and on, but I'll stop there. The only bad thing is that my wedding rings don't fit anymore. Eventually I'll either have them resized or get new ones.
AWESOME thread for motivation. Best of luck to you all.0 -

I have only lost 140 pounds (not all through MFP) but my knees hurt less, I look better and I can work out without having to stop lots. I am not there yet but I have done well even if it has taken me 7 years (with a three and a bit year gap due to pregnancy and being lazy and preoccupied).0
