I have "only lost" 17 lbs, but...

    - I'm the smallest I've been in at least a year.
    - I can see my collar bones!
    - My clothes keep getting bigger and bigger (I figure I'm only a few pounds away from being able to comfortably fit into a size 14 pant, I'm a 16 now and I can pull some of my pants off without unbuttoning them).
    - I don't remember my last real binge. It's been at least 2 or 3 weeks.
    - I haven't had fast food (other than Subway and I made sure to get veggies on my sandwich) in over a week, and I've discovered that I don't really crave it lately.
    - I LOVE feeling sweaty and gross after a workout.
-Oh! I also have less back fat and muffin toppage.

I have only lost 27 pounds but....

I can wear a size 18-20 pants instead of size 24
I can ride my bike like a maniac up small hills and NOT feel like I'm going to die
I can wear clothes that have been hanging in my closet for 6 years
I can say no to food that is not healthy and yes to food that is
I can feel a sense of accomplishment-while ackowledging that there is much work ahead

I have "only lost" 10lbs but...

I now make my breakfast and not let hardee's or mcdonalds make it for me.
I now make and take my lunch and snacks and let Jimmy John's or other places make it for me
I finally "get" it. I eat right, and exercise and I can lose weight
I have only been logging in 11 days but I'm proud of tracking everything that goes into my body for 11 days straight
I have gained and whole new support group!!!

I have only lost 72 pounds... but gained the upper arm on foods that call my name.
I can now buy part of my clothes in a regular store and not through mail order.
I have learned that soft drinks so not have to be drank the whole time I am awake.
I actually only drink water now.
My kids actually said they are PROUD of me for what I have done so far.
I have almost NO double chin anymore.
    I am PROUD of ME!

I have only lost 7ish pounds, but....

I've kept them off, even though I really lost them in June/July!
The pants I ripped sitting in a car in May are now a little baggy!

    It's a start. :)

I have only lost 31 pounds but,
I started this in April, and it's only August
    I am now a size 20 not a 22 in my bridesmaid's dresses
    I am making progress everyday
I can walk walk 4 miles in just under an hour
I have more money in my wallet because I don't eat as much fast food
    Or junk food
I've learned more about good nutrition (still not expert by any means)
I get complimented by co-workers everyday, and in turn I have inspired a few
I'm now more interested in being happy and healthy than ever before.
I went from a 40H in my bra size to a 38G and I'm still getting smaller. Maybe someday I won't have to spend a fortune on a bra. :-]
I can wear a large instead of an Extra-extra larger shirt (well sometimes I wear an extra-large, depends on how much room there is for my ginormous boobs).

I've already posted in this thread, but I thought of some more/had some NSV's

still 128 pounds gone, never to return, EVER...

I am now wearing my original wedding band, not one of the 3 larger sized ones that had replaced the original
I need some of my favorite rings re-sized, because they are too big even for my thumbs!
My old comfy shoes are literally sliding off my feet
I no longer hate mowing my yard - I used to end up exhausted even using the riding mower, but now that it's broken, I actually look FORWARD to mowing for 3 hours with the push mower!!!!
One of my son's teachers told me tonight that he didn't know what I have been doing to lose this weight (he's known me for many years) but that I am looking really good (He wasn't hitting on me, he's like a son to me in many ways, as he is one of my older son's best friends)

I am 15 pounds away from my goal of 150. After 25 years of being fat, I never dreamed I'd ever have that number within reach. It's almost surreal.

I have only lost 15 pounds BUT....

    -I began 3 months ag
-my hips, thighs, and stomach are all noticeably thinner
-I went from not being able to get size 11 ****ies up my thighs (and busting a pair of 13's) to being able to shimmy into a pair of 11's (albeit with a muffin top).
-Anybody who has seen me recently who hasn't seen me in months comments on the fact I've lost weight
-I can walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like I'm going to die like I was feeling back in May
-I can now do 200 squats and 200 sit-ups! YAY!

I have only lost 34 lbs but....

    I can wear a 10 instead of a 14
I fit in Medium tops instead of L or XL
I can literally run a mile (even as a kid I walked the mile in PE and I was underweight then!)
I'm more muscle than I've ever been
I can say that I enjoy exercising and certainly never regret it, even if its hard to get started sometimes
    I have control

I can buy a freaking bra in the store again.
I'm wearing scrubs that haven't fit since 2006.
    I'm into a loose 22 from a tight 28 pants.
    My t-shirts are almost dresses.

I have only lost 6 lbs but...

*I am more confident in myself and in the process. NO MORE YO-YO DIETING
    *I rethink my food choices.
*I am excited for Tuesdays because I love hopping onto that scale and seeing results of my hard work.
*I like the MFP family I have talked to (feel free to add me!)
    *I actually enjoy running
*I ran my very first non-stop mile in my entire life last week and I plan on running a 5k someday =]
*I know I can reach my goals!
  • Great post!

I have "only" lost 39 pounds, but ...

I am proud that I have stayed on plan every day/week since I started in February.
I am truly optimistic and hopeful about my future.
I know I can and will stay on track and reach my goals.
My plantar fasciitis has all but disappeared.
I am down a full size in clothing.
I hardly ever experience heartburn at night anymore.
I have more energy and don't get winded as easily walking, climbing stairs, etc.
I am changing life-long habits of comforting myself with food, eating when stressed or frustrated.
I am losing this excess weight as a kindness to myself, because I deserve to live a long, full, healthy, happy, love-filled, joy-filled, prosperous life surrounded by positive people I love and who love me.

But I have more energy to start over and try for more
I eat better and dont snack as much
I get on the scale every morning (motivation)
I feel better when I get dressed
I know I can do it because I did it before
  • I have only lost 7 lbs BUT

I am feeling so happy all the time
I have learned I can eat more and be more full with the right types of food
I am going for rice cakes as a snack instead of candy, walks instead of beers
I can actually wake up when my alarm goes off
I have more confidence and am feeling sexy all the time

And most importantly I know I am in it for the long haul this time and I will achieve my goal!

This website offers so much encouragement and inspiration. It makes my goals seem possible. And when I do start doubting, I just come to the success stories for a pick me up. (which is exactly why I came here tonight and, look, my first post and a reminder of how we should be looking at things! Love it!)

    I have more energy

I have gone from a tight 22 to an 18
I don't deprive myself in order to keep myself on track
I get more attention because of the great confidence
I still sometimes see myself as the old person sometimes. It's in pictures where I can see my weight loss difference
I have had up and downs, but am here for the long haul.

Thank you to all my supporters and MFP!!!

    Bump for motivation.

I've only lost 19lbs (was 24 but then went on holiday!!! Damn)

    but:

I've gone down 3 dress sizes
I'm fitter (i.e. I can run up the stairs without being all puffed out! - oh and can blow dry and straighen my hair without my arms feeling like they are about to fall off!)
Oh my latest - bought a size UK 14 dress from a 'regular' shop 2 days ago for my party and it fits (picture will be posted tomorrow or Sat)

Still have a LONG way to go.

Sorry, but "only" doesn't come into it. Any loss, however large or small, is an achievement.

    So

I have lost 2Kg and already...
I am starting to feel less fat, and
I am walking more purposefully, and
    My head is held high!
