I'm glad to see so many people looking for "friends, not flirts"! Anyone can feel free to add me, too. My gym membership just ended, so I'm starting the 30 Day Shred, and trying to eat mostly natural (which gets hard sometimes!). I'm 18, 5'5", and 150lbs, in case anyone is interested! I'm a mommy of a 4 year old and a 7 month old. I'm 37 and working through NROL4W. I started at 201 and I'm currently at 163.5. I'm shooting for 150 lbs.
The major rule I have is, if you are a man and I check out your profile before accepting (which I always do) and I see nothing but women, then I have no interest in adding that person.0 -
I remove anyone who tries to flirt. I also try not to get involved in discussions not related to weight loss. One exception is a group of middle aged fat guys who love to yank each other's chains...but in a supportive way. I won't give them up.
I'm serious about my journey. I'm taking it with my wife who is also my friend here. I'm doing it for myself & my kids.
I'm also working with a trainer at the gym. I've been a gym member since I was 16 years old but did most everything wrong. Working with a trainer helps me do it right for results and without pain. I'm getting close to the point now where I can begin sculpting my problem areas. I'm willing to share everything I learn with MFP friends.
My food and exercise diaries are open to my friends. I won't say "Yay" every time you complete a diary or if you do the bare minimum. I compliment for hard work and dedication and remove people who make a lot of excuses.

Feel free to send request! I'm married with a 1 month old at home. Before getting pregnant I lost 120lbs and still had a ways to go. I worked out 6 days a week mixing cardio and weights. I miss it and am just waiting to get the all clear from my doctor to start running again. It will be a bit before I'm back at the gym lifting weights :flowerforyou:0

I think you really have to have a goal in mind that you want to look like or feel like. We can somewhat help each other, but it really has to come from within.
I was always a runner and didn't think much of lifting, but recently in several articles on fitness and losing weight, they say that lifing gets the metabolism moving better than running. It took the several articles to get me to believe it.

Just sent a friend request. I'm here strictly for diet and fitness as well. I will be 40 in a couple of years and I have let myself go. I broke my wrist at my daughters dodge ball party and it went down hill from there. Since then, I've gained 25 pounds. Just started back and love reading everyone else's stories, struggles, success stories, etc. I need to do this for myself because I no longer feel healthy. I use to exercise alot and just gave it up. I used my wrist as an excuse for everything. Well it's healed and it's time for me to get back to a healthy and happy lifestyle.0

Hi! I am a mommy of two and in my thirties. I would love to find friends on here that are here for health and fitness not just to flirt with each other. Not judging others that do I just want to see in my feed more people who are after the same goals as me. I don't care about age or weight So, if this is what you're after too, lets work together to reach our goals.
BTW My major goal is to start lifting, but I'll last two weeks and go back to running only I need a lot of help in that department to staying motivated
