Walking is my primary form of exercise so please count me in. I've walked 205 minutes so far in Sept. I'll think about my target for the month and update tomorrow. :flowerforyou:0

9/1 15 min
9/2 rest day no gym but worked 12 hrs with lots of walking.
9/3 20 min
9/4 20 min.
I use the walking as a warm up for other exercise.0 -

Walking has become such a pleasure for me and a big part of my weight loss.
I walked for three hours on 2nd September.
I plan to walk 3 times a week for at least an hour during September (and visit the gym too). I like to try to get a long walk in at weekends.0 -

I haven't had time to read the thread, so I apologize if I've missed any questions.
I did a lot of hiking on Monday. I also got 3 miles in yesterday walking my children to school.0 -
I'm in for 30 hours for the month...As a single working mom with three kids to get to school, help with homework, and get to bed, it's a challenge, for sure! But it is SOOO worth it to model fitness for my children.0

Okay, I'm in. I'll try to post back with how much I walk either daily or weekly.
My week so far:
Sat 9/1: 4 miles at the track
Sun 9/2: 3 miles at the hiking trail
Mon 9/3: 20 minutes on the treadmill
Tues 9/4: ? I don't think I used the treadmill so just what I walked at work (20 minutes on the crossramp)
Wed 9/5: 6 minutes on the treadmill (so far....)0 -

I recently had a total hip replacement but I'm at the point where I can start a walking program. So, I'm in. Walked 30 min. today.0

I've got my own 24 hours of cardio in September challenge, in which I'm keeping track of all cardio, but I'll join here to try to get to my walking mileage goal for September of 120 miles (I did 100 in August).
9/01 - 5.6 miles
9/02 - 3.7 miles
9/03 - 6.7 miles
9/04 - Rest Day
9/05 - 8.2 miles

Hi all,
I've decided to set my walking challenge for September at a total of 1800 minutes - an average of 60 minutes per day. That will force me to be vigilant about getting my walks in. According to MFP, I tend to walk at a 'leisurely pace' (it doesn't feel all that leisurely to me but...) - about 2.5 miles per hour. My walking route varies so the easiest thing for me is to count the minutes.
Up to Sept 4/12, I had walked a total of 205 minutes plus today I walked another 80 minutes for a total of 285. That's an average of 57 minutes per day.
The weather is getting better - not as warm and humid - so walking is a lot more pleasant.
Next month, my challenge will be to keep up with amaizenblue44, above. Amazing!!0 -
