It was right after my friends and I ran a whole 5k (I'm the blonde in the middle). It was my 3rd 5k and best time yet at exactly 35 minutes. Not bad for this old broad.

I took it in the crapper. YUP I said it!! I get inspired to take pictures of myself during potty breaks.......

The pic of me in my glasses....also taken on the crapper! I was only peeing, though. That's why I'm grinning. This one was taken when I went to dinner with a fellow MFPer! Not MFPeeeee'er.
  • It reminds me of why I am here...
  • Just about to walk out the door to go to dinner with my hubby on our 22nd wedding anniversary!

My current profile picture was taken at the Welch, MN Dirty Girl Mud Run in August. I didn't participate, but cheered on my daughter, my sister and my sister's friend.

Proud momma! My 15 yr old old son took this as his first photography assignment. Had to use low background light with showing little to no shadows...he got 100%. Was very proud of him!

You do NOT look old enough to have a son in high school! Beautiful shot

Well, thank you!! Makes an old lady's day! I have a 21 year old daughter too!

My little sister in law took a pic of herself doing this pose in cheer class with a donut, saying "betcha cant do this while eating a donut!"

So I did, but with a cupcake.

I call it, Lord of the Cupcake. lol

Was at work, it was cold out and I felt cozy in my office so it brought a smile to my face and I took a picture.
  • A few months ago a close friend asked me to be a bridesmaid. Although uncomfortable I agreed knowing I would be the heaviest bridesmaid of the group. I had been losing weight, but had miles to go (still have 15-20 to go). I ordered the dress over the phone, and worried endlessly because I felt the dress would be too small. When I received it, I could put it on, but could not move, sit, etc. A couple of weeks later I could breathe a little easier, but still not sit. Two weeks later, I could sit straight up. Two weeks later I could more comfortably. Two weeks later I could put the dress on without unzipping it. Three weeks before the wedding I had the dress altered, and it had to be taken in. The day of the wedding, we had to tighten the neckline, because the dress was a little big again. The picture is of me in my bridesmaid dress thrilled because of the progress I have made over these past couple of years; a reminder of how far I have come, which has made the effort worthwhile. A reminder to never forget the moment when I fit in and looked pretty much like everyone else for the first time. If you are struggling, please don't give up. Everyday is a challenge, but I would never go back for anything.

    The story of Bambi.

I don't really have any pictures of myself, so I picked this. When I was a toddler I was often nicknamed "Thumper" (the Dutch name is cuter: "Stampertje"), because I permanently had that hyper look on my face and when I got excited about something I would thump my feet :). And I was a Disney-addict as a kid.
