Crap, went to the state fair and had a deep fried twinkie. The week has not been that great so I will have to have a good weekend to weigh in Monday.0

same here. i've been having a bad week too. if i weigh the same this monday i'll scream! tired of seeing the scale at 168lbs :mad:0

For most people, Halloween means dressing up and going to a party with your friends. Whether your 20 or 50, you still want to feel good in your Halloween costume. Now for me, I will be going to Disney World and Universal Studios for Halloween this year, and I would love to look good for my trip! This DB will help motivate us to lose weight for Halloween!
My current weight: 150

I would love to join even though I am coming in at the end of the week. I weighed in on the 12 so I will use that as my current weight.

not a lot of loss for the first week (i'll be honest and say i didnt try hard enough ) but i've thought about it and decided im happy with it, considering that i have been in a plateau for over 5 months now! this has definitely boosted my confidence of losing the other 9.11lbs and im determined to work harder now too.0 -

Well it's weigh-in day! Not sure if many of you guys will remember or not. I have good and bad news. Bad news is - I only lost 1.2 pounds, Good news - I've worked out every day this week (walking, jogging, lifting weights, etc.) I also started the c25k program and feel great! I've been eating most of my burned calories up, so I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't have eaten so much? Or maybe I'm taking in to many fats and carbs? Might evaluate what I ate last week. Or maybe its my muscle kicking in from running, walking, lifting weights? Any advice? Anyway here it goes:

Halloween Goal: 130
It's a great loss! I know we usually tend to expect more from weeks where we did everything we were suppossed to do, but you lost 1.2lbs!! That's great!
I've been reading a bit lately about calories and the different theories about eating less or more in small quantities. What I'm starting to discover is that only you can figure out your calorie goal and when it starts to work for you, stick to it!! Also, if you plan on loosing weight DON'T eat your workout calories; always keep your your goal without taking those into account; and try to eat as healthy as you can in small portions throughout the day, don't get hungry and have a snack if you are, and workout.
Listen to your body or learn how, it will tell you exactly what you need to do to drop those pounds. It might take some time but at the end of the day the wait will be so worth it!0 -

So here I go:

I'm so happy with this accomplishment! I've been stuck on the 175lbs for quite some time, so I started reading about eating more in small portions and based on some calculations I did including body fat, and % of body mass, etc I had to go up from 1200cal to 1640cal. Up until that point I was doing somewhere around 800cal a day; well, what happened is that when I changed my 1200cal to the 1640cal I tried to increase my food (always as healthy as possible)....I cound't get that high!! but I'm now around 1000cal to 1200cal a day and I started loosing again!!! Isn't this amazing!! I feel that all I need it was to find that spot.
I am exercising 6 days a week for 30min each day (doing the Body Revolution) and haven't missed one day (and won't); trying to go for at least 10 glasses of water (pure water....coffee, tea, soup doesn't count), and following an advice from one of my MFP friends I'm also watching my sodium intake. I'll keep doing it this way and see what happens next week....so far is working and I feel great it is!0 -
