Are you excited or dreading Thanksgiving Holiday?

It's exciting. This is not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Holidays are a part of life. If you can't deal with holidays then you're not on a plan you can live with.0

I'm excited because this year the bf and I will be able to be with his mom and bros and other family. Last year we were in a different state and couldn't afford the trip. The food I'm always meh about - I don't like to sit all day, and I sure as heck won't eat all day. But cutting up and having fun with his family - wouldn't miss it for the world, they are sweet and silly and a pleasure to be around.0

corn63, I think I like you...
Anyway... I plan on logging everything so I don't over eat... and when I do, I'm getting my butt out and walking around my in laws subdivision a million and one times.0 -
I'm excited! I never diet on holidays. this year I will exercise a lot more to try and make up for some of the eating though.0
-
both..im excited because my husband cooks a killer turkey! dreading because all of the YUMMY food i may have to not eat all day in order not to go over my calories!0

I have a small family and we all just kind of decided to only have our favorite things and not a ton of food like usual. I asked my mom to make a small pan of cornbread dressing this year instead of a lot because that's my BIGGEST Thanksgiving weakness, haha. I could probably sit down with the whole pan and a spoon. I wish I was joking. >.>0

we don't have it lol so nope, makes no difference to us in the rest of the world, but have fun x0

Pretty psyched. I am going to punish some turkey and mashed potatoes. Believe that.0

My plan is to plan on getting less time to work out, so being more mindful of calories Im eating, try to be more active around the house since I won't be at the gym as frequently, and come food consumption time - eat sensibly, watch portions and pass on seconds unless its a really good wine! :drinker:
Same itinerary for Christmas!0 -

Aww, I like me too:))0 -
One day won't kill you! I'm not logging *kitten* that day! lol0

I'm pretty excited, but holidays are 'break' days for me. I just try to not go overboard with the portions and remember to enjoy myself0

I am leaving town to avoid overeating with my parents :P Mom's cooking is to-die-for and I can't resist. All my willpower evaporates when I walk into her home. BUT I am thankful for my family and I will take the time to show them!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!0 -
I cannot wait!!! MY extreme cheat day!!!0
-
I do more cardio if i' m going to have some junk food that day0

Dreading. I'm very streaky. When I'm on my game, I can't be stopped. But let me at one treat and I end up waking up two days later from a sugar-induced coma0

One day doth not a diet make or break. Therefore I throw it out as a free day and enjoy it and just get right back on track the next day. I don't weight myself for a couple days after either and work out hard.0

thanksgiving night... I'm gonna stuff myself silly, then keep doing that until the leftovers are gone. Then go back to my normal eating habits.0

Exactly.
Can't wait!0 -
Looking forward to seeing family....dreading the food.0

I'm so excited, I love the holidays. I am gonna enjoy myself and I am not going log my calories...however I will be mindful to not eat till I am stuffed and feel sick, which is what I always do cause the food is so good.0
-
I'm going to enjoy it. I'm not into self denial. However, in the up coming weeks I'm going to work hard to earn it.0
-
Neither really. Too far away for me to start thinking about it.0

I'm psyched! I was born on Thanksgiving so I get a feast, presents and birthday cake! I'm going to eat what I want that day. Even if I gain weight, I know I can lose it again. I have my whole life to eat healthy, but Thanksgiving is only once a year. I gotta enjoy it to the fullest.0
-
I'm going to stuff myself until I'm sick......It will be 365 days until I get all that kinda food again! LOL0
-
I'm bummed because it'll be my first Thankdgiving without my daughter.... So it'll be just me and my poodle... But stoked because I'm doing my first 1/2 marathon that morning..... This will entitle me to eat whatever the heck I want that day... Which will probably be pizza and beer(I have this after every race I do)....
Everyone enjoy spending the day with your family and friends.....0 -
I'm excited...I'm planning to take a week off of logging because we travel down south each year for Thanksgiving and there are many great cooks under one roof. We also usually hit up fast food on the way down even though we rarely/never do when home. For some reason I just think they have better fast food chains.
I'll enjoy it while I'm there and get back on track when I get home. It's taken me a year and a half to get where I am (lost about 10lbs before MFP plus the 16 on MFP) so I don't think 1 week is going to kill me. I'd rather just enjoy it and enjoy my time with the family than stress about doing extra workouts to make up for it or agonizing over figuring out portion sizes and calorie counts of everything.0 -
Pretty excited I get to see family I don't often see. I plan on treating it like any other day. Eat in moderation. If I go ove a little I'll work it off. I'm in this for the long haul! It is definately a life style change that I'm willing to make!0

I am neither worried or excited. To me its just another holiday that happens every year when i see people binge eat. . .All i need to do is keep in mind my portion size and be smart about what i eat. I can still indulge in my favorite foods but wont go over board. . . im ready for it to come and go just like all the holidays seem to do. . . now christmas (cookies!!) is a different story. . lol0
