I get a lot of my exercise when I walk my dogs. I was just wondering what type of dogs you all have and if you walk them as part of your daily excercise.
I have to beagle girls, Molly and Vazzle. Both are rescues from shelters. Vazzle has a funny name but that is what her previous owners named her. They LOVE to go for walks of course.

I have a German Shepherd we named Pepper. We acquired him back in March when some asshats abandoned him at the end of our road the day before a snow storm! :noway: He was quite fortunate to adopt us.
Oh, and to answer the OP's question: We take him on 2.5-3.5 mile walks daily in addition to our regular gym going. He LOVES his walks. He is such a spazz. I honestly think he sleeps because he has to. If he had a choice he'd just play 24/7.0 -
I'm a mutt kind of person. I love lab mixes....they are THE BEST DOGS! Our last one was lab/pit bull mix. LOVED him. If we get another one....ever....it'll be a lab mix again.0

Currently do not own a dog, will in a few years.
I have a soft spot for Shetland Sheepdogs.0 -
Two Miniature Schnauzers. They are my life, my kids. As I am increasing my exercise I am beginning to incorporate them more. Going for longer walks and play I think they'll be essential in my weight loss.
Love them so much0 -

I don't have any dogs at the moment, but my best little girl was an Australian Cattle Dog / Shepherd mix. She's my profile pic everywhere I go online. Damned near killed me when she passed away at 13 years old.0

I am just starting to get into running with my German Shepherd, Brock. Surprisingly, he is doing well and not sniffing and peeing on something every 5 seconds

A pit bull, that no matter how many walks or runs we go on, it is never enough! This is the first one we have had, and although she was an absolute sweet heart at the humane society, I never would have guessed what an athlete she would end up being.

I have two fur babies. Link is my seven-year-old chihuahua and he is my baby! I love him just like I would my own child. Lucy is our newest baby. She's a two-year-old golden retriever. I love her as well, but she's more my husband's little girl.0

A black and white border collie / human being mix.... She is SO clever, she understands loads of words...I wouldn't be without her for the world!!!!0

I have a Husky/German Shephard mix who is about 14 yrs old. I cant believe I have had him this long...have had him since the day after he was born...when we brought him & his litter of 6 & mom back from the VET after her C-Section. I used to walk him a LOT but not so much anymore...it scares me to walk him too much becuase he is stubborn about drinking water during and after.
We also have a Welsh Corgi who is about 7 yrs old. WE SHOULD walk him but dont.
LOVE BOTH of my doggies. Our next dog, YEARS down the road, will either be a (pure bread) German Shephard or a Golden Retriever. But, I love most dogs!! :-)0
