Craziest thing you ever ate.

I had a hamburger with chocolate covered bacon, and cheese...sandwiched in between a Krispie Kream doughnut....fair food. This weekend is the Food Truck Festival...I love trying different food combinations...just need to walk about 5 miles before doing it.

Ate fried frog legs at a Chinese buffet once just to say I did. They weren't life-threateningly awful, but I won't eat them again. Besides, I'm avoiding buffets, now. :-)

My son made me a sandwich on Mother's Day when he was 5 (he's almost 21 now). He toasted the bread, spread raspberry jam on one side, tuna on the other, and in the middle he placed leftover pasta bake from the night before. It was laid out on the prettiest piece of fabric he could find, with flowers all around it, and the proud and excited expression on his face as he watched me eat every mouthful was too priceless to ruin by gagging.

I have kept the recipe to give to his kids for Fathers Day sometime in the future.

That is the new thing...bacon and chocolate. I saw an episode of Paula Dean when she made a delicious bacon cheeseburger and put it on a donut. She said she just thought of that in the morning...hahahaha... I would have to say olives and ice cream, many years ago.

The weirdest thing I probably ate (before being a vegetarian) was alligator. We bought some to try at Gatorland when we were in Florida.

Oh, and catfood....but I was only 5 or so when I did that.

  • At a super bowel party one year I ate bbq goat, deer and bear amongst some other weird things. They actually did not taste bad. I tried them because my uncles dared me. I have also had fried pickles at a fair. Which is good for me because I am not a pickle fan.

Alligator. Can't remember how it tasted, and it was in a tasty sauce. Really bony.

Reading this post I realized it is weird, but oddly enough, never thought so before now...

Dog Food. Never wet, but all different kinds of dry. I like to taste what I'm giving my dogs. To be honest, I liked the Carob Chip Cookies and would probably steal some from them in a pinch. LMFAO

Such a fatass answer. I love myself :)

Deer is nice, very low in fat, high in protein, better than beef

I'm too grossed out by things so different. I'd love to but I know I won't get it past my lips without throwing it back. Sorry, I'm such a party pooper. Grossed out thing I ate was steak, hate the texture of steak. I can't imagine eating head cheese or snails or, yuck...my stomach is turning now...Love to try a fried twinkie though.

When I was younger and, shall we say, incapacitated, for a dare, I took the bar mat shot-you know, whatever liquid the bartenders spilled in the mat was poured in to a shot glass and I drank it. For $20.

Armadillo. Used to eat it often. Got it at a kitchen in the back of a Mexican market in Birmingham, AL. Had it at least a couple dozen times. Don't ever do this. Armadillo can carry leprosy, and there is NO safe source to get armadillo for consumption. It tasted great, and I will never eat it again. The only armadillo farm in the US is in Teas, and it is not for food.
