If you are comfortable with getting cooking tips from a chef friend or business advice for a manager friend........why not get some professional in their expertise?0
-
I would be more concerned if it was the girlfriend of one of your really good friends.0

Got her number? I'm free tonight.0

I'd tell her about the popup and show her if I could. It might be something she isn't aware of and deserves to know.0

I'm willing to be that most escort companies don't use their actual employees in the ads.. Chances are much more likely that she did some modeling or something and the escort company's marking guy swiped it from google.
But go ahead and judge on.0 -
Never had to face this dilemna. I would say, don't believe every pop-up you see on the Internet. All those sites you may have posted a picture on? Well, they can be used for nefarious purposes sometimes.
its legit...I actually checked the site bamm 7 very interesting photos and an intriguing personal thingy about herself ...
Oh, I didn't bother to read the whole thread to see this. My comment still stands though - go ahead and judge, because you want validation for doing it anyway.
Personally, if it were my friend, I'd applaud her for making ends meet in a tough economic climate.0 -

If they're your friend, why does it matter?
This. I have nothing against escorts. They aren't hurting anyone. And they are getting paid to do something fun!0 -
There’s a great saying in Spanish, “Dime quienes son tus amigos y te diré quien eres,” and it translates into, “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” When I was younger I would roll my eyes at my mom. Now that I am older and a mom I understand the saying better.
Give your friend the benefit of the doubt. Like others said photos have been known to be used without a person's consent on the www.
If there is any truth on the matter then you have to weigh the outcome. We are not perfect, nor do we expect our friends to be but there are certain things and/or behavior we find acceptable and unacceptable within our social circles.0 -
"So, I hear you're a hooker, now."
:laugh:0 -
Found out if they make more than me, reassess my long term goals.0

Start keeping notes for a book.
Bring it up if it topic arises in casual conversation.
BamsieEkhaya: "So, it's going to be cool this weekend."
Escort Friend: "Yeah, I hear a cold front is coming in. Time to break out the coats."
BamsieEkhaya: "Where did you get those coats? Your pimp?"
^^

It's kind of like finding out they are a cab driver...... who cares.
See, and I thought you were going to make a "gives strangers a ride for a fee" comment there. My bad...0 -

oh ya that is so casual, so smooth, she'll be well halfway into a funny story about last night's client and his weird fetish before she realizes she was just busted. You gotta be cool as a cucumber though. No Perry Mason courtroom moments. No confronting her like, Isn't it true you were doing tricks AND treats this Halloween!! If you don't think you could do it with a straight face you could book her as a client and won't she be surprised when she shows up! But I would prolly have someone trusted ready to post bail just in case?0 -
it's none of your business...you know glass houses and stones and all that....
somewhere someday you are going to do something that you won't want to be judged on and maybe leaving this alone will further along your karma allowance for that moment.......
but if you really feel you have to say something then I would couch it as "I saw this pop up ad using your photo for solicitation purposes and I just wanted you to know so you can contact them to have it removed." and leave it at that....
then they can make the choice to either tell you what the story is, or not.
but really its none of your business.0 -
Depends... if you find it morally reprehensible, then discontinue the friendship.
If it doesn't bother you in the least, then why are you bothering to ask about it.
Besides, how do you know that your friend is actually the one in the internet ad? People can look alike.0 -
1. Could be a "stolen" pic so I would bring it up in case she doesn't know.
2. My ex was an escort in college for a little while. It was an interesting relationship.0
