hello all, i decided to write on the success stories side cause i want to find out from all
you people who has lost so much weight and look all stunning, what is your tip (or advice) for someone that is

Never eat yellow snow.
For weight loss, find what works for you, just be sensible about it.0 -
When you start out, take front and side view photos (as much as you may not want to) - I didn't and regret it now.
For the same reason record measurements from the start (for the first 3 months I only weighed myself).0 -

My biggest tip is to get more active and have more protein! a protein shake in the morning (6am) keeps me full until lunchtime (12). When I used to have cereal at 6am I used to snack at 9 or 10 am and finish my lunch by 11. That would leave me hungry and going to the vending machines at around 2-3 and its all down hill from there!
Enjoy your exercise. I hate treadmills and running in general. I'm playing basketball twice a week and the weight is falling off whilst im having fun0 -
Do your best and forget the rest! Take it day by day and never quit on yourself again!0

Every day matters. Don't say you will start tomorrow, start today!0

Dont aim for perfection. Make one change each week, rather than trying to go from zero to hero all at once.0

Be consistent, if you fall off get right back on and keep logging.....log everything even when you pig out (real eye opener) never give up0

Log everything, absolutely everything. Remember some drinks have calories in them too.0 -
Don't 'diet', change your lifestyle instead. Diets have a sell by date, a lifestyle lasts a lifetime. x0

Create an energy deficit.
Set up macros that correspond to your goals.
Hit your macros.
Get off the couch and move (most of you should probably be resistance training)
Rest
Repeat
And stop making simple things so complicated.0 -
Don't diet! Don't deprive yourself of things you enjoy! PORTION CONTROL! and log it before you eat it.....
if you bite it, then write it..
MEASURE EVERYTHING!!
And drink water, water, water, water and when you are full go to faucet and drink one more cup of water!!0 -
Don't weigh yourself often. And remember weight loss is NOT linear, it may take a while to settle, and especially at the beginning.
So don't stress over scales.... and remember: people have gone down in 3 sizes, yet have not actually lost "weight". But they are slimmer due to 'fat' loss !!!0 -
Ignore anyone who says "you must/must not eat this, do this etc."
Only take notice of those who say "this worked for me, it might work for you"
We are all different and have to discover what does and doesn't work for us as individuals.0 -
set small goals with time lines, rather than thinking of all the hard work you have to do to lose a hundred pounds.
make sure you are making a lifestyle change, not going on a diet
if what you are doing now isn't sustainable for life, it will not last0 -
Be patient! It takes a LONG time to see changes on your own body.
Remember, it's what you do most of the time that counts. If you eat healthily at a deficit all week and then eat a cheeseburger one day, you will probably continue losing weight. It's not a setback, or anything to worry or complain about...it's life. Delicious and sometimes unhealthy food is a part of life. On the other hand, if you eat fast food and other junk in a surplus and eat a salad every once in a while, that one salad is not going to help you lose weight.0 -

For me it's about eating when I get hungry and not when I feel like it's "time" to eat. I keep a drawer filled with low-calorie snacks and always keep some fat-free yogurt and cheese in the fridge at work. When I start to get hungry, I eat a little bit. That way I'm not waiting until meal times and then eating way more than I should. I've also developed what seems to be a pretty healthy relationship with the open-faced sandwich. When I go somewhere for lunch where my options are either eat a sandwich or don't eat, taking off the top bread (or bun) really helps cut down on calories.0

It all comes down to persistence. It's going to take time but it's time well spent. The weeks and months will roll by no matter what, you might as well use them positively.

Few things that helped me...
Try to get enough sleep. If you don't get enough sleep you'll have more cravings, your body will want more food to stay awake.
Pay attention to how your body reacts to foods. Find things that are filling and satisfying for you, weed out the things that aren't worth it.
Water tastes better if you put it in the freezer and let it get very cold, just short of freezing. Drinking 2 liters a day helps with snacking.
Walking is actually really good exercise, even though it feels easy.0 -
What work for me... I log all my meal in advance before breakfeast ..this method show me all my calories intake before starting my day and when I come back from work I'm not stuck whith *What I'm going to eat tonight* and cheat with calling a pizza or fast food.0

Stay the course. If you are not an exerciser - start with at least 20 min. a day and work up. It's amazing how much better you will feel - you will miss it when you don't exercise. Good luck!0

I joined a eat well course and the first thing they say is Eat 3 meals a day to start with many people only eat 2 starts your metabolism
hope this helps I have lost 2 stone since starting it x0
