Hey all,
I would like to join too! I am 29 and weigh 250 lbs. I started at 265 so I have lost 15lbs so far. I like this site because it makes you accountable for your food intake. I don't have the baby excuse though, I just have the fat and lazy one. I look forward to meeting everyone and following along here. Good Luck to everyone!0 -
@Jenn: My scale came in today. YAY! I weighed in at 245.2 lbs...so I was really close to my estimate of 250. Also, I have been following the site for 5 or 6 days so I am not sure how much I actually lost and how much was just from my overestimate.
@Shellrock: Welcome to the group! My excuse is also being fat and lazy and food is good. LOL! 15lbs is an awesome start though! I am trying to make sustainable changes to my lifestyle so my exercise is still minimal (30 mins of walking 3 days a week).0 -
I'd like to join- Jennifer, 27 and 230 lbs. This is my first week with mfp and everyone has me very excited. Not looking to see results right away. Just started exercising (after years of being lazy) and tyring to keep my calories in check. Once I start building better habits, then I hope to start seeing some change~!0

Great group! Hi ladies!
Im 21 and weigh 196 but I def started out 208 - 210 but I just started counting calories and slowly losing weight!
Good luck to everyone I would really love to join if thats okay!0 -
Welcome to the group Star Stuck and Tennisref! Official weigh ins start next Monday!
@Tennis: I just started about 6 days ago and adding in your daily calories and stuff is so easy. I actually seem to have more energy and have been less down since I started. This is the first time that has happened and I feel really motivated and I changed my weight goal from 180 to 150 so I will be in the healthy zone according to BMI.0 -
I want to join too...
Im Jessica, starting weight 240.. want to get down to 150. Lots and Lots of work ahead!! I look forward to giving and getting support0 -
Welcome to the group! 150 is also my goal weight...then I will be considered healthy according to BMI. Can't wait for that day, but if I continue it should take around a year to get down to that weight if I consistently loose 2lbs a week. A year to loose 100lbs seems doable and actually not too long considering how long it took me to put on this much weight (23 years) lol.0

I think we can all do it. I have recently started running with an old friend from high school. I live in GA and she lives in NV but we have each made a goal. She wants to eventually run a triathalon and I want to run a marathon. I started running with this program on coolrunnings.com. You first have to be able to run three miles straight to start to train for a 5K, which is my first mini goal. The program is running three miles Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat run 2 miles, and Sun run 3 again. I have made it through till today so I am way excited. Does anyone else like to run? Any suggestions about technique, breathing, anything? I hope everyone has a great day!0

Wow you have quite a rigorous workout schedule. Not sure how you do it! I think I need to find an exercise I actually enjoy. I will probably just stick with walking around my neighborhood at least for now. But it is awesome that you found something that motivates you!0

Welcome to the group!0

I'll check in with my weight on Monday, forgot to do it last week, I lost 1lb last week and am on course to lose 1-2lbs this week. Haven't yet mastered the art of regular exercise, apart from walking to the train station each day so need to incorporate some more, will crack it this week I'm sure!0
-
Even normal walking is exercise so don't sweat it too much! The goal is to make changes that are sustainable.0
-
Today's weigh-in= 201, down from 205!0
-
205 to 202 not 201!! lol i was just wishing!!0
-
Well, my weigh in for today is the same as last week! Still 248!! But, my Auntie Flo is visiting, so we'll see where we are later in the week after she's gone... At least i haven't gained!

Down 3 pounds to 227. Great results for the first week!0
-
Weighed in at 243.2... exactly 2 pounds down from my last weight. The funny thing is that I weighed myself last night and was still at 245. I might have still been digesting stuff or something.
@mlagena: Don't worry about that! I have seen many people post that they have experienced anywhere from 2-6 pound weight gain during that time, but then it goes away after.
@tennisref: wow 3 pounds down..great job!
@ Nola: great job! 4 pounds lost is a lot.
@spikess: You still lost 1 more pound than me!
Everyone is doing so well!0 -

Hey guys.
Forgot to weigh in yesterday, but did it this morning *right after breakfast even! and I'm down to 230. Not a huge loss, but, 2 lbs, I'll take it! Probably more like 1.5, but still! I didn't even hardly work out last week. And I was over on my calories. Maybe the scales wrong! haha. But I'll still take it.
Now, just 23 more to go!
Well, ultimately 70, but, Dr. said 23 is good for now!0 -
I would like to be included too. 28yrs old and well over 200lbs. Please let me know what to do. Thanks, Diane.0

@dianeg1981: Welcome to the group! We are basically here to help motivate each other..chat, share concerns, recipes, ect.
Our weigh ins are every Monday and hopefully they will help everyone stay accountable.
@dmmarie21: Great job and a loss is still a loss! Maybe your body has an increased metabolism? I have heard a lot of people say that when they ate more they lost more weight
@blueeyeddragon: Welcome to the group! I am from Wisconsin so we are sorta like neighbors. LOL! At least now spring is coming and the snow has melted here. Today was a whopping 50 degrees. I can't wait until it is in the 70s though! I will feel much more motivated to walk....walking at night in the summer is the best since the air smells so nice and it is peaceful.0 -
Sorry I missed the weigh in! I'm 206 at the moment, the scale hasn't budged this week which I'm a bit disapoointed about, but hey, onwards and upwards (or downwards!)0
-
@snorker: On the bright side you haven't gained anything.0
-
I weighed in at 207lbs so 2lbs lost a total of 18 so far. Started the EA sports 30 day challenge that according to MFP, means I should be up to 28lbs lost within another 5 weeks :-)0
-
Great job! Good luck on the sports challenge.0

I'd like to join! I'm 24, 5'4" and 240lbs right now. My ultimate goal is about 150, so a good bit to go. My biggest weight was been 250. 1.5lbs a week seems reasonable, so my goal is set for about June of next year. But I need motivation!0
