    Hey
Im 5,4 and my goal weight is 140lbs, thats the high end of heathy for me apprently, but im happy that I will be in my ideal weight for my age/height etc...

Im at 185lbs at the moment, lost 27lbs, and I think that my body will look way to skinny for anything under that, as I have always been big. :blushing: So will see what happens when I get to my goal

I am 50 years old....depending on which chart I look at I can be from 112 - 136 ...well I'm at 135.6 and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm working on toning up what I have now..but I LOVE my curves and think at my age 112 -- that's going to make me age and look sick. I don't have bone structure for 112 and really have no desire to be there.

I'm 5'3 1/2", my goal is 140. I will reevaluate when I get there. Might maintain there, might go to 135!
I started at 220, and I'm at 195 right now
  • I'm 5'4" and I'm looking to lose 20ish pounds, which would put me in the 150 area. As most people have said it all depends on your body type. At 150, I will be skinny (flat stomach, tigh arms, be able to wear a size 6-8 depending), but will still have a high BMI. I have a lot of dense muscle from various sports and activities I have been involved in my whole life. Muscle adds a lot of weight because it is so dense. In high school, I was the same height, weighted about 145, and had about 10% body fat (which is low) and had doctors telling me I needed to lose weight because I was over my perfect BMI. I was super skinny and looking at me there was no one in their right mind who would have thought I needed to lose any weight. Just be careful in getting wrapped up in just looking at BMI. Get down to a weight that is healthy for your body. My final goal is too look good in a two peice swim suit, and not being overly concerned with what the scale says.
  • I am 5 3 and would like to get down to 140....actually would be happy with 145...but I think i read somewhere I should be 141 tops....good luck with it.....

I was aiming at 117 because I like the number 7, but then I decided I wanted muscle, so I'm aiming at 127. (I'm somewhere between 5'2 and 5'3.)

According to most medical standards, the healthy weight range for 5'3" is 104 - 141 and for 5'4" it's 108 to 146 pounds. Give or take a margin of error as it differs a little depending on who you ask or what site you use.

I wouldn't put too much emphasis into that though. Each person is different, and depending on your body make-up - your frame - your ideal weight may be outside that range. I believe that most of that stuff is based on old science that is not accurate anymore.

In my opinion, I'd focus on body fat percentage. Calculate approximately what it is now, and aim for a healthy range. Here's a chart as an example:

    *General Body Fat Percentage Categories

Classification Women (% fat) Men (% fat)
    Essential Fat 10-12% 2-4%
    Athletes 14-20% 6-13%
    Fitness 21-24% 14-17%
    Acceptable 25-31% 18-25%
    Obese 32% plus 25% plus

Edit: Sorry the chart is all jumbled together. It's not jumbled when I type it in, nor when i edit it, I guess it just posts condensed like that :(
  • my doc told me between 110-125
that isn't going to happen because I love my chest and hips lol.. I am shooting for between 150-160 which is considered slightly overweight for our height, but honestly even my doctor said BMI isn't 100% accurate and doesn't take peoples builds into mind.

I'm 5'4 and I start to look good (as in no fat sticking out, comfortable in clothes) around 140, but feel best at 120 (what I am right now).

When I was younger and in my 20s I was around 128lbs but I know if I was that weight now in my 40's I'd probably look ill lol

I'm 5'3 3/4" and I'm aiming for 140 lbs. I'm a med/lg frame and usually fairly muscular, so I may stop at 145 lbs. I'll have to wait and decide when I get there though.

I have taken my shoes and socks off and counted on my fingers and toes... I make that around 10st... and that's what I am aiming for in my targets for normal BMI... which is that weight, give or take.

I'm 5'3" and I am aiming for 128 right now. I've been 123 and I although I felt great at the time, looking back I looked a little too small, and was eating the same things every day. My body loves to hover around 135. When I was 128 I thought I had a good balance of being able to enjoy eating and was still happy what my body could do and how I looked in the mirror.

I'm 5'4" and aiming for 112lb. Less and I look scrawny, but I look boxy weighing much more. 112-116lb is my ideal weight (from past experience).

Im 33, 5'2" (and a *kitten*-butt) and Im aiming for 147lbs. Im 158lbs at the moment with 26% body fat which is in the 'ideal' range but my BMI is just a big fat meanie at 28/29 using this chart https://www.shopholistic.co.uk/view_doc.php?view_doc=53
Ive been 140lbs at my lightest adult weight and looked AWFUL, all bones and corners so I figured a 7lb 'padding' would look better lol

I'm 5'3 & currently weigh 137. I was down to 125-127 lbs, but was told that looked too thin - now, that I have put back on a few lbs, I am looking "fuller". New Motto: "Strong is the new skinny!"

I'm 5'3 and I set my original goal for 129lbs as it was midway between the two extremes of the BMI. Now I'm aiming for 121lbs knowing that I have plenty of fat left (especially around my tummy and hips) and then I'll readjust my goal when I get there.

I'm 5'3" and my goal is 125lbs but I am going to re-evaluate at 140lbs, my weight range should be 104.4 - 141lbs for a healthy BMI. I want my BMI back in a healthy range but I also want my BF% to be in a healthy range too.

    I'm also 5'3. Started in October 2011 at 290 with a goal weight of 145. Currently 175.

I talked to my dietician last month about adjusting my goal weight downward and she recommended with my age (58) and my body frame (large), that I shouldnt go below 135. So right now, I'm aiming for the 145 and will evaluate at that time about another 10 pounds.

I'm slightly under 5'4". I stopped weighing myself a couple weeks ago and really have no plans of starting again. I eat right, stay near my calorie goal, and exercise twice a day. I wasn't seeing ANY movement on the scale and when I did, it was 0.1 down then 0.2 up then 0.2 down. It got really frustrating.

Anyhow, I was pretty excited that I was able to put on my size 8 jeans yesterday. I'll weight myself again on Dec 31st. My weight goal is 123 right now, but that could change after I weigh myself in Dec depending on how I feel / what sizes I'm wearing.

I'm 5'4" currently fluctuating in between 165-170. My ideal weight is 135-140. When I was down to 125 people said I looked too thin and I did not feel my best so I think this would be the perfect weight range for me. I'm a medium to larger frame as well and gain muscle mass pretty easily once I start lifting. After 2 weeks of re-introducing weights after my back injury I already saw tons more definition in my back, it was awesome but not for my wardrobe lol.

    i'm 5'4, 140.

i'm not super unhappy with my body but i definitely have more fat than i want. i eat, and eat well, but don't focus on a number. i am just aiming to gain lean muscle and shed fat, so in the end i may still be 140, maybe 130

I'm 5'3" and my ultimate goal weight is 110 lbs. I was 133 before having two children but would love to be 110-115 again! I was 140exercising after my second child and I looked really good for 140. That seems like a good goal to me.
