Simply because, for me, that's entirely untrue. Papa Murphy's Hawaiian Pizza is worth being fat for. It just is. And some brownies too.
SO for you - what is worth being fat for?
NOTHING for me. I'm never going back to fat. Never. And it was worth it for me to sacrifice SOMETIMES. You don't have to deprive yourself to lose weight. You don't have to eat fad diets. You can have everything you want even while losing weight. You just can't have it all at once or every day.
EVERY day does not have to be a diet. As an example when you are following the Eat Stop Eat, or any other IF style, of eating you create large calorie deficits when you fast. This allows you to eat normal on the days you do eat, creating a sustainable way of eating less, without having to eat less every single day. note: eating normal does not = binge eating, fasting does not = starving. My doctor checking my hormone levels throughout my obese to 10% fat weight loss journey and my DXA scan proved I did not go into starvation mode or lose lean body mass. Nor have I ever had emotional eating or binging issues.
And even if IF is not for you you can still eat lower calories some days and higher calories other days. You can set up your calorie budget however you want and still enjoy all the foods you love, just not all at once or every day.0 -
I don't want to be overweight again but skinny doesn't appeal to me either. That being said lemon coconut cake does tast better than what skinny feels.
Being skinny feels horrible by the way...just skin bones and meat...0 -

Nothing, because it only tastes better for the 5 seconds it's in your mouth then it turns into self loathing and/or guilt. Feeling thin and in shape feels good 24/7.0

Thank goodness none of my local grocery stores sell it! I have to drive a couple hours away to get it and it's expensive enough where I don't buy much.
There aren't too many other things that are much better to me than their healthy alternative. I can make a pizza at home almost as good as one I get out for under half the calories. Really good dark chocolate beats any of the candy bars in the checkout aisle. Finally got over chips, don't crave them anymore.0 -
i try to modify crap food to make it better so i can still feed the cravings without breaking the calorie bank.. HOWEVER. that being said, nothing is better than a bacon cheeseburger with fries from the blarney stone on tipperary hill in syracuse ny. conveniently 15 minutes from me. haven't had one in almost a year. i think i'm due. oh and chicken wings. from anywhere good. mmmmmm wings!0

Almost e everything I have ever eaten is better than skinny feels. Especially if I made it.
The question is more interesting if you had asked about the feeling of being fit, strong, or accomplished. Tough mudder felt really good. PRs in the weight room are awesome. DOMS after those heavy lifts is exhilarating. No bikini body holds a candle to the fear involved in prepping for a big lift and the victory of hitting it.
IMO skinny ain't ****. Strong is where it's at. ( and props to runners who feel the same way about their accomplishment )0 -

Agreed.
And I find it sad that there are people who derive no pleasure from food. It's not good to use it as a crutch, but you can enjoy your food and still eat in moderation and enjoy what you eat.
I wouldn't want to live any other way. I lived that way when I was thin and I am living that way on my way back to thin.0 -
