I always was bewildered by my coworkers Michael Hawk and Richard Head. I kid you not - real people. Richard was actually quite well liked.

    WHAT WERE THEIR PARENTS THINKING?

What about Michael Hunt

Also, I went to a church with a guy whose last name was Boner. AND it was pronounced that way! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!
I would change that shiz so fast.

There is a billboard in Savannah that shows the names of newborns. I was quite shocked one day to see that one name was just one letter away from "gonorrhea". I can't remember what letter it was, but that's not the point!
  • Actual names of people that I know or friends of mine know. I actually have a running list of these names because I find them so fascinating and entertaining:

    Reality
    Notorious
    Tangerine
    Lovely Helle
    Di*k Law
    Sunshine
    Harry Ball
    Kandy Kuehn (pronounced candy cane)
    Beryl (pronounced barrel)
Bronte (named after Emily Bronte, the author)
    Atlantis
    Wanna Hyunh (pronounced wanna win)
and the worst one of all: Vaginique

Had to edit Di*k because it blocked the whole thing out. Jeez, its a name for crying out loud!!

In light of the news about Baby "Hashtag"

I seriously think that some people need to go before city council or something and get permission on their baby's names so the poor kid won't be made fun of for the rest of their lives... Goodness. It was all in fun so it wasn't really a big deal to me... but being named Jenny... I got Forrest Gump references all through high school and even still do... I can only imagine what the kids would have done if I had been named hashtag...

Hashtag? Someone named their baby 'Hashtag'? Poor kid. Wonder what the grandparents thought of that?

I don't quite make the connection between your name and 'Forrest Gump'. Haven't seen the movie, either.

Gidzmo - Jenny is Forrest's girlfriend in the film.

I have heard of some very weird names, but all are actual names.... just random one like Fergus and Aggie on 6 year olds.....

My surname is Jones, so when I was pregnant with my eldest child, I told the people I was working with I would call "it" Indiana if it were a boy, or India-Anna if it was a girl.... the poor men in my office believed I would do that too. The looks on their faces the first time I told them thats what I was naming my first born was so funny, I kept it going right up until I left for my maternity leave... My son Adam was born 2 weeks later :)

I was at the playground with my daughter once and over heard a woman calling her daughter Jazzicka and her son Moses, weird combo

And how did you come by the spelling from her calling? Sounds like plain old "Jessica" to me... maybe with a bit of a funny accent, but still...

I know a guy named Randy Cox...well, in the USA nobody really gives it a second thought. But, when he was in the UK people thought that was the funniest name ever! LOL One name that I really don't like, though it is popular right now is Dakota. It's a good name for a dog...

One of the gastro surgeons in the next big town is called Dr. Hyman. He missed his calling as an OB/GYN.

I feel like I'm going to hell for laughing at this one but it was just so funny!

My sister goes to uni with a group of very lovely Arab girls and they each gave themselves an "Australian" name for people to call them by so they don't have to keep pronouncing their real names. One of these girls has a traditional name that is actually a very beautiful name in her country but sounds like something very different. Her name is Poopak. (not sure if that's the spelling)

Also....in my boyfriend's home town of Coffs Harbour there lives a man who legally changed his name to Dr. Funky Bunny Love.
