I love mine just straight out the skin with a (TEENY) dash of salt. Pair it with some rice and chicken hhhhhhnnnng0
-
I love it in a sandwich with fresh bakery bread smeared with relish and fried/scrambled egg! Or chopped into a pasta dish with tomato sauce...I've even had it with peanut butter and jam sandwiches LOL weird I know but it tastes good! x0

Mmmmmmm yum they all sound soooooooo yummy - thanks all and please keep the ideas coming x0

I like adding thick slices to grilled chicken wraps/sandwiches. No need for mayo/mustard!0
-
I think it's really nice blended up smooth (with fresh herbs, some citrus juice, garlic, etc) and tossed with whole wheat pasta and veggies. I've also blended it with laughing cow cheese and it's almost like a healthier version of alfredo sauce. Almost. :]0

Blend it with some cocoa and honey, becomes chocolate pudding!0
-
mashed with a hard boiled egg and some lime juice.0

Deli Style Sliced Turkey

LOVE AVOCADO! You can use it in so many things! I eat mine in salads, with grilled chicken, or just straight up. It's a great substitute for mayo on sandwiches....just as creamy and has good for you fats! :happy:0
-
i mix it with crab meat0
-
I mash it up, add shredded chicken breast, a couple of green onions, some fresh cilantro, and lime juice - delish chicken salad! I put 1/2 cup in a pita, add a bunch of fresh veggies, and I've got a full lunch!0
-
5-6 oz Shredded chicken (I like to use rotisserie chicken without the skin)
Half an avocado
1 TB ranch dressing
3 TB salsa
Smush it all together. Eat with a fork, in a wrap, on top of lettuce as a salad. *drool*0 -
ON EVERYTHING! Or just eat it with a spoon, with a squeeze of lime.
One of my favorites is on my fish tacos though. I sautee tilapia fillets in a non stick skillet, and then add some grated sharp cheddar, and some hot sauce, and break up the fish into a gooey chunky yummy mess. Pop it into a warmed mini tortilla, and top it with what is basically a simplified guacamole - diced avocado, diced tomato, diced red onion, lime juice, cilantro. It's fast, it's real food, it has protein, it has veggies, and you can do whole wheat tortillas to make it even healthier!0 -
I am so glad you posted this I love Avocados and just reading this tread is making my mouth water...lol0

I found out you can blend it into protein shakes and I tried it (although I was worried about the flavor). It thickened it up and I couldn't even taste it. Double win!0

Remove skin, slice in half the long way and remove pit. Break an egg in to each hollow where the pit was and bake until the egg is cooked to your liking. Yum!0

I found this on Pinterest:
Avocado Hummus
1. Add the following to your food processor:
-1 can of white beans, drained and rinsed
-1 avocado, cubed
-juice from 1/2 of a lime
-1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of olive oil (a lower fat option: substitute oil for juice from the beans)
-1/2 teaspoon sea salt
-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2. Blend until smooth.... EASY AS THAT!0 -
bump0

I like to keep it in it's skin, dice it all up in there...sprinkle some salt and pepper...sometimes a little evoo..and I use rice and/or bean chips to scoop it out! Delicious.0

Avocado smoothies are delicious. A little protein powder, half an avocado, some milk and ice, blend. You can add banana, too. Really yummy.0

Love the sound of this...have to try0 -
I eat a raw, plain avacodo for my dinner a couple times a week. Just cut it in half, salt it, and eat it out of the peel with a spoon! I love it.
Also, I like to slice it up, slice up a tomato (or use cherub tomatoes) and mix it up with a can of garbanzo beans. Add a tablespoon of Italian dressing...voila! 1/2 for now, 1/2 for tomorrow. It's super filling, high in protein, high in fiberm, simple, and delicious.0 -
I love eating avocado alone or in anythingI can put it in lol...I love a whole wheat piece of bread spread avocado and slice cucumber on top mmmmmm!!! Now I want one lol0
-
I discovered a recent love of these and here are some things I do with it. These of course are when it is mashed and spreadable or in guac form.
1. On veggie burger (but hear turkey burger and salmon burger good too)
2. With tuna and veggies in pita
3. On turkey sandwich
4. In soups instead of sour cream
5. Mash and put in salad instead of dressing
6. On bagel as a spread...just bagel and avacado...sooooo good
7. With egg whites on english muffin
8. In grits with shrimp (weird, but so good)
Welcome to the avacado lovers party0 -
I saw this recipe on pinterest and had to try it. It was amazing!

You just cut the avocado in half, take out the stone and make a criss-cross cut with a knife so the sauces can penetrate. Cover in lime juice and chipotle tabasco, then add parmesan cheese and broil. It is awesome.0 -
wonderful in soup!!0

Native Californian here. I love avocados and have even lived in Carpinteria, CA. The avocado capital of the world!0
