Blink1201, the taco stew sounds great...I will have to try it...I'm getting sick of baked or grilled chicken and want something different...this just may be it and I love simplicity with dinner! Thanks!!0

Is the Hot sauce HOT? Is there something I can substitute for it if it is? I don't handle spicy very well....thanks!Buffalo Ranch Chicken
1 lb Chicken breast
1/2 bottle Franks Hot Sauce (NO CALORIES)
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch (the powder)
Put the chicken in the crockpot, then Franks Sauce, and sprinkle the ranch over it....not sure how long because we all put it on for different times. Since I am gone all day I put it on low (10hours)
I have made wraps out of it and topeed salads....it is sooooooooo EASY, low cal, and healthy
I made it for my entire office one day...everyone loved it0 -

I just made Crockpot Taco Chicken Stew. Was sooooo good.
1 can Chili beans 1 can Diced tomatoes w/ green chilis
1 can Kidney beans 1 can diced tomatoes
1 can Black Beans(rinsed) *just these* 1 8oz can tomatoe sauce
1 can Whole Kernel Corn(drained)
1 onion chopped
1 pk Taco seasoning
2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Mix all together, except chicken, and place in crockpot that has been sprayed with cooking spray. (I prefer the crockpot liner. No mess). Place chicken on top. Cook on high 4-5 hrs or low 6-8. When chicken is done, remove, shred and place back in crockpot. Serve w/ shredded cheese and light sourcream

I am not happy with HOT spicy foods either but I have used 1/2 bottles of Franks and I was good with it. If you don't want to use the hot sauce maybe a mild salsa may work. That actually sounds good...lol0 -

Hawaian Barbeque Chicken
3lbs chicken breasts (5-6 chicken breasts)
1 18oz bottle of Barbeque Sauce
1 20oz can crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped onion (frozen or freshed)
Layer the ingriendients in the crockpot in this order:
Chicken
Diced onions
Barbeque Sauce
Crushed Pineapple
Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8 hours. About an hour before serving, pull the chicken out and shred it. Then return to the sauce in the crockpot and cook until the shredded chicken has absorbed the sauce.
Note* It was also mentioned you could use thighs as well. I recommend chicken breasts though.0 -

A great one my husband and I loved is...
chicken breast or pork roast
One to two onions sliced
A bottle of BBQ sauce
- Slice onions and layer on the bottom of the crockpot
- Pour half the bottle of BBQ sauce over the bottom of the crockpot
- Place chicken or pork on top of onions
- Pour remainder of BBQ sauce over chicken or pork
- cover and set on low for about 6 hours (or high for about 3 hours)
Once time is up take out meat and shred with two forks. Place meat back into crockpot and stir. Leave on low for another hour or two.
This is a great one top pop in before work and than shred quickly before you go to Zumba. Place one buns when you get home for a great sandwich. I use the leftovers for things like wraps, stir frys, add on top of salads or mix into pasta and veggies.
This one is great as you can make a ton to have for a variety of other meals. I normally add a large package of chicken when I do it and than it makes dinner that night, than a ton of leftovers for lunches and other dinners. So easy to pop in the freezer for later use.
I recently took some out of the freezer and let thaw. I than added it to a stir fry of rice and veggies.0 -
1 whole pork loin
1 bottle of root beer
1 bottle of your favorite bbq sauce
Cook the pork loin in the root beer on low for 6 hours.
Remove and shred, discard the liquid.
Put shredded pork back in the crock pot, add as much sauce as you want, and heat at high for a couple of minutes. BBQ time!
Also works with Dr. Pepper!0 -
