Welcome all that have replied so far...........as I said before, there are no ground rules..........just be honest with yourself......April 1, weigh yourself and start from there.........Come back to this thread for motivation, to ask questions, or hell even if you want to vent about something.......Just remember we are all in this together so your pain is our pain.........haha..........Just keep checking back on the this thread like I said, and hey, even if you want to brag about how much you've lost so far......we are here to see that also........So lets get moving and enjoy and get rid of the next 10.........remember baby steps are the best.......because eventually all those baby steps add up to a HUGE success story!!0

Started this web site today, I'd like to join in.
Both my daughters are grown, although the youngest is still at home. She has her own life, so she's gone alot. Love to walk, but don't like walking alone.
I work six days a week, so not a lot of time to spend with the few friends I have, so I really don't get much support. I know my family is behind me, but I don't talk to them much.
Within the last month I have started taekwondo and really enjoy it. I go twice a week and really hoping this will help tone and help me lose the weight. I have gradually gained 30 of the 50 pounds I lost last year and beginning to feel the same hohum way.
I'll admit I'm a foodaholic. I don't know when to stop eating sweets when I start. I don't know what my problem is. The last diet site I was on has changed so much, it's no fun anymore. It had been months since I was last on it. When I finally did, I didn't even recognize it.

my first challenge: i'm pumped!! i've lost 5 pounds just altering what i eat and using this site to keep an eye on my calories - now to incorporate a ROUTINE exercise program. so i'm thinking that that is my Week 1 april challenge- 30 minutes of exercise each day. i own a treadmill, i have jillian michaels 30-day shred, i have 2 young kids who love going to the park. . . . lots of ways to get my heart rate up without committing hours and hours to the gym each day.
so thank you for starting this challenge! glad i finally caught one when it started - lol!!

Hello, hello everyone, hope all is going well...........ground rules for the challenge........there aren't any, just be honest with yourself. Weigh yourself April 1st.......or whatever day you usually weigh in......doesn't much matter to me........i'll be here all month, also doing this challenge and to keep up with the encouragement, that we all need some times.........We are here for each other, to offer support, pats on the back, and simply to tell ya straight up......"get off your butt and get moving" One thing that i've learned is that the weight does NOT come off by just dieting.......you HAVE TO start moving........since i've started coming on this site in the middle of January, i'm down 20lbs and its due to logging my calories and going to the gym, where I found my biggest love.......ZUMBA!!! I go whenever I can, I also do weight training 3 times a week. They both help you burn those calories and send those fat cells screaming for their mommas.........haha......ok maybe not, but I thought it was cute......lol. So everyone have a great day today, and welcome to the next challenge.........like i've said before....remember baby steps, and eventually they will add up!!:happy:0
