Snow ball cookies this recipe is over 100 years ago passed down from generation to generation

Plus they are also vegeterian no eggs

    one cup butter or margarine
    1/2 cup sifted powder sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/3 cup finely chopped walnuts

    Mix butter, sugar and vanilla
sift flour and salt. Blend with mixer.
Mix in nuts. Roll dough into a big ball and put in refrigerator to chill

    Heat oven to 400 degrees

Shape rounded teaspoonsfuls of dough into one inch balls. Add a Hershey Kiss in the middle if desired. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie.
Bake 10-12 minutesor until they set not brown. While they are still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Let cool and roll again in powdered sugar.

These cookies are always my favorite. You don't have to add the chocolate if you don't want to. We also used to make these crescent moon shape as well. Always my favorite cookie my Mom made. Actually she lost the recipe when she moved when my Dad died so I was thrilled when I found the recipe. She is going to get some UPS to her.

    2 jars dry roasted peanuts
    2 bags white chocolate chips
    2 bags peanut butter chips
    2 bags semi sweet chips

i told my family that id make cookies for christmas what kind should i make???? dont really give a damn about healthy for christmas
There's some really fun cookie cutters called ABC's. Already been chewed... they are 3 stainless steel Gingerbread men cut outs only each one has a bite out of it someplace. You could do these with a simple sugar cookie recipe and dress them up a bit with frosting in a glad bagged piped to outline them..

Check around your local fun stores (Spencer gifts etc) or online and you'll find them... they crack me up every time I see them!

thought about going traditional but decided to go unorthodox
