"Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol was playing on the radio after I found out I had cancer...I usually want to cry when I hear that song because it puts me right back in that place...powerful song.

"God gave me you" by Blake Shelton makes me think of my husband, it was our first dance at our wedding :)

"There goes my life" by Kenny Chesney does it everytime too, brings me back to a painful spot that I went through when this song was popular.

Viva Forever by the Spice Girls. I lost a dog to cancer and had to have it put down at the time of the song's release. Everytime I hear it I still get a lump in my throat because of it. Also another one of their songs, Goodbye, they released that one after Geri Halliwell left the group. Same effect on me. Go fig.

    Dear Mama - Tupac
Song from Prince of Egypt - When you Believe
Song from Fighting Temptations - The one they sing at the Gospel singing challenge at the end of the movie. For some reason, this song gets me crying the ugly, snotty cry!
The House that made me (I think that's the name) - Miranda Lambert

"The House That Built Me" - great song :)
Her song "Never Get Over You" that she and Blake Shelton wrote gets me every time, too. I can't hear this song without thinking of my cousin who committed suicide last year.
"If You're Reading This" - Tim McGraw
"Just A Dream" - Carrie Underwood
Pretty much any song by Snow Patrol

    I'm a big sap, what can I say? :)

If I don't make it known that
    I've loved you all along

A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men
Adaigo for Strings by Samuel Barber
  • Any music makes me emotional now. Just cant seem to listen to a song now. I have tried many times to play a song and focus on listening to it but I stop it midway because its painful. Personal bull****...dont bother asking.

Anyway, back when I used to listen to music...

    1. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division (something about that song...you can feel the heartache)
    2. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (every single ****ing version)
    3. Jumpin Jack Flash (this always used to kick me into an emotional high...)
    4. California Dreamin'

    just to name a few

Eric Clapton's - Tears in Heaven.

Doesn't make me emotional; per se... But when I hear it, I'm reminded of the tragedy that occured for him to write it (His 4 year old son's death). And that's pretty sad. It would be awefull to have that happen.
    love that song too, tragedy!
For me one is Guns N Roses; Knockin' on Heavens Door- my stepdad loved that song and he passed away a few years ago.
also Bob Marley; No Women No Cry- my mom played bob marley loud in the mornings when I was young , she lives far and I moved out when I was 16 so its been 15 years away from my mom with maybe 9 visits (it sucks!)
when I was missing my first love due to long distance relationship; Ozzy: see you on the other side, he played this song a lot when we were together (we have been together for 17 years now)
  • "Hold Your Hand" by the Beatles. Every time I hear it, I reminds me of how I met my wife for the first time.
