He Didn't Have To Be -- Brad Paisley

I am the adoptive father of two, so this song means a lot to me.

awww - you must be a great Dad, then, if it resonates so much :)

At the present moment it would have to be "Don't You Remember?" by Adele. Reminds me of someone that I miss.

anything with bagpipes-- tear right up-- my kids make fun of me, my 10 yo likes to put bagpipes on in the house just to mess with me... little b@strd.

Yes, nothing gets me to tear up faster than Amazing Grace on the bagpipes!

But after losing both grandparents last summer, Rascal Flatts' "I Won't Let Go" and "Let it Hurt," along with Miranda Lambert's "Over You" will bring me to a dead stop real quick.

YES! I had forgotten about those. And the Toby Keith song "American Soldier." All I have to hear is the first few notes and I'm in tears!

Today it was Lee Brice- I Drive Your Truck I heard it for the first time today. I am from a military family and have been through multiple deployments throughout the war, have had many friends pay the ultimate sacrifice while deployed.. It hit kind of close to home.

"Amazing Grace"- On the Harmonica-It was played at my Grandmothers funeral.

I've been to funerals with bagpipers playing AG on a distant hill. its crushing but for me Amazing Grace has warm, fuzzy memories. If you've ever been on a windjammer barefoot cruise they played some version of it every time they hoisted the sails.. so story of how AG came to be written touched a note in the windjammer founders. so when the sails started to flap and the ship started to gain speed... well, remarkable memories..
