Why would anyone be in my phone?? I am an adult and I don't go into other adults phones.
My kid on the other hand is a child, and like her internet use, I monitor it. That's my job. If she has a problem with it I don't re up her min. Done deal.0 -
My son recently turned 18. He's semi moved out, and actually purchased his current phone and pays me for his portion of the phone bill, or he has to pay the early termination fee if he wants out from under my contract. This was the deal we made when he was a few months away from turning 18 since I was switching carriers and wanted to make things clear that if he can pick up a rifle and defend his country, and he can vote, then he can be responsible for his own phone.
So..right now, his phone is off limits to me.
However, before he turned 18, his phone, his computer, his room, his wallet, nothing was off limits to me. It was all up for random searches whenever I felt the need...which wasn't a whole lot, but I did a random inspection upon occasion to make sure he was aware the can and o happen.
The reason? He's my responsibility, both as a parent and legally. If some girl in high school is text him naked pictures, his phone is on my phone plan, in my name, and I am ultimately responsible for the content on that phone. I'm not getting busted for having underage porn on a phone that's in my name.
Also, until he turned 18, it was my responsibility to raise him the best I could and how I see fit. Letting him do what he wanted when he wanted and how he wanted was just not going to happen. I set boundaries, and I was reasonable.
He's now becoming a responsible adult who can make his own decisions and who is not afraid to admit when he's screwed up and deal with the outcome of his own decisions and actions.0 -
i don't have a smart phone or anything, just a basic flip phone. but i leave it out, i really could care less if people look at it. as long as they don't mind my background photo of my pet rat sri lanka0

My husband can look through my phone at any time, and I'm welcome to look through his.
That being said, we don't.
My six year old on the other hand, has all her stuff password protected
your 6 year old has electronics that need passwords? ...0 -
anyone who pays the bill....oh wait thats just me0

my boyfriend can look through my phone and i look through his
we have nothing to hide so we don't care
i wouldn't necessarily let anyone but him look, though, because i do believe in maintaining a modicum of privacy0 -
Nearly anybody can as long as they ask first and I know what they're going to do. As far as just picking it up and snooping through at random: Um. No. But, I'm single and I have no children. That, perhaps, would be a different story.0

Mine is password-protected in case it ends up lost or stolen, but my boyfriend knows the password. I don't care if he uses it or looks at my pictures. I have nothing to hide.
I don't look through his phone because I respect his privacy, but I'm sure he wouldn't care if I needed to use it to make a phone call if mine was dead or something. I'd ask him first, though, out of respect for his stuff.0 -
Anyone, if they want to. I don't like people reading my conversations, but there's nothing in there to hide. My phone isn't password protected and I know the password for my fiance's phone. I usually have it in my hand or right next to me, but anyone can use it if they ask first and tell me why!! Well, unless it's a stranger, but that's just weird.0

usually get instructions through text, can't let people see my target's names :devil:0

My phone is pretty clean. Nothing really to hide. About the worst you could do is log on to MFP and post nasty things since I keep the ap running.0

I have nothing to hide my phone is a open book waiting to be read... as is my facebook...lol0

absolutely NO ONE except my best friend. ive known him since i was 5 and theres nothing i would ever hide from him<30

Anyone can look at my phone and I won't care, I have nothing to hide except a few cute/mushy text messages. My browser history however I'm more cautious of.
Because of my terrible spelling skills I just end up Googling words I don't know and now my search history is kinda suss. I've had some awkward conversations in the past because of it... Now I clear the history every other day.0 -
Nobody but me! I dont have nothng to hide its just i dont like people touching my phone simples.0

Cell phone jammer is an electronic device that blocks the transmission of signals between the cell phone and its nearby base station. By using the same frequency as the cell phones, the cell phone jammer creates strong interference to the communication between the caller and the receiver. It is efficient in blocking the transmission of signals from the phone networks, including UMTS, 3G, CDMA, GSM and PHS.0

The only times I have ever went snooping through someones phone I have found **** I didnt want to. So now I dont.
I prefer if people dont look through my phone either. It's my life, it doesnt include anyone in everything. If there is something I want to share or show I will.0 -
My bf can but i still feel kinda weird when he does, same with my computer. It's less worry about anything I've done wrong, more awkward/embarrassing things I've googled.0

Anyone that feels the need to, I guess. I don't have any passwords or whatnot. My fiance is free to look at my phone & I'm free to look at his. We're super nosy people so. Oh & We always ask each other to see who that missed call is from, check that text msg and read it to me, etc.
I do have to say ... I'd be like this ----> if any family went through it and seen my sexts to my fiance. lololol. I'd probably die right there.0 -

Haha yes, this. As far as kids go, mine is only a toddler right now, but I can imagine her being mad at me if I snooped through her phone once she had one. I know that as a pre-teen and a teen if my mother had taken my phone and went through everything I'd have been livid. I was a good kid...nothing to hide. But I wouldn't have wanted her reading through conversations with my friends. It would be like her picking up the line and listening in while I talk to my friends, or looking over my shoulder while I just surf the web...really not nice, and says "I don't trust you". My mother read my diary once. I then burned it and never kept one again. Trust lost.0 -
My phone isn't password protected so I guess anyone who has my phone could be a potential looker of the goods.0

No.Bo.Dy. Ever.
There isn't anything on it that would incriminate me but it feels like my phone is... I'm not sure how to even describe this but it's like a part of me. When other people touch it I feel violated. HAH! Issues? Maybe.
Yeah.
Weird.
