    Black, White, Native American 5'6 287 lbs size 24 on most days but 22 depending on fabric and cut. I hold most of my weight in my stomach. I have a large frame as well. Ethnicity does play a role in this based on genetics,etc. everything said in the original post was correct.

    Funny thing with clothing is the makers change sizes all the time. I have a size 18 from 15 years ago that I still can not get close to being zipped or buttoned, but yet I just bought a pair of 16's two weeks ago that are now loose enought to have to wear a belt with them. Size is just a number. Its about how you look and feel in your own skin that matters.
