And someone else who posted in this confirmed this.

You know what they say, better to be safe than sorry. Or you can always get a vasectomy to make sure.
  • LOL there was 69 comments on this when I opened it to read. It's been a long day, but that was funny. I'd say yes. If you even have to question it, I'd say yes.

You ding dong heads! They were asking for the sake of baby makin' not STD contractin'! Can we just stick to the topic?

If you don't want a baby, use some kind of protection. Phew. Seems this would be a no brainer at age 50.

    The end.

My mom got preganat while she was technically in "menopause" and then miscarried. It was really hard for her to get pregnant that late in life only to lose the baby. Protection could have prevented that.

Quick question that hopefully won't be pulled by the monitors.

If you are around 50 and in a very long term stable relationship, do you use protection?

I have seen conflicting stats about how late pregnancy can occur.

    Update:
People are posting about STDs, we have been married almost 25 years. That is not really an issue FOR US. Other people, not so much........

Dude! You haven't got a "snip, snip" done?

    No no no
  • 50 is late for menopause, but women can get pregnant during menopause. My aunt and grandmother both did, though both of those pregnancies ended in miscarriage.

Post-menopause, then it shouldn't be an issue.

50 is not actually late for menopause - the average American woman hits it in the early 50s. The normal range is 40-60.
