Um... how exactly do you shave your own back? Attach a razer-blade to the wall or something? Or do you actually have to bother someone to do it for you? I'm not so keen on seeking assistance when it comes to personal grooming - seems a little too revealing to have to ask someone to help me shave my back, it's got to be awkward at least.
hahaha I could see the next "As Seen on TV" thing where they attach a razor to the wall...anywho.. haha I saw at Target the other day they have a man groomer it's like a razor with an arm on it so you can reach your back ! lol0 -

I think the hair thing is more important to the guy. I love my guy the way he is. If he needs to trim his hair or shave it to feel comfortable fine...just don't give me razor stuble if I want to snuggle. I do prefer the nether region be trimmed just for appetite issues. That's my own personal preference but doesn't stop me from loving my guy.
I personally thought I loved guys with bare chests and no body hair. I fell for a hairy teddy bear and love him with all my heart. I wouldn't have him any other way. I just hope he feels the same way.0 -
Casper, I do a little in the way of trimming, I don't really shave anything (besides my face) but I do take the clippers to my chest, arms and legs every now and again, just to keep it all manageable. Nothing wrong with that.0

I'm bald, but grow wild out my ears, nose and my eyebrows. Doesn't bother me, but drives my 16 yr old crazy. About every two weeks I have to hold still while she weeds, plucks and manscapes.0

Actually, more and more men are getting into hair removal. I don't have any male hair removal clients at the moment, but in the school clinic there were quite a few who came through for waxing. Back and brows mostly. (The brows were always done because a girl forced them)
I don't have a preference anymore. I've seen it all. But maybe I'd prefer a snuggly guy who I don't get tangled into, lol.
Shaving large body areas will always leave you itchy. Waxing is painful, but you build a tollerance. And you don't need to do it often. As painful as it was getting my pits waxed, I'd never stop now. Thats an area that you NEVER get used to, but the results are too amazing to ever give up. Thankfully, waxing can kill follicles and cause less regrowth. So at least it gets thinner and quicker each time.:ohwell:
I think when it comes to back and shoulder hair, waxing is the best option. Unless you spring for laser hair removal. Thats a great investment, but sooooo, soooo expensive. Other wise trimming is really all a hairy man needs, unless he prefers to be smooth.0 -
Not given it much thought but will definitely keep an eye on the ladies responses. I am a borderline sasq..sasquen....saguench...oh hell a bigfoot.
I've shaved my chest in the summer for beach month, and general houskeeping everywhere else.0 -
Just when I think we run out of topics to discuss on MFP
I prefer as little hair as possible...but I think everyone is different...if u care about someone, I doubt body hair will be an issue

I like for DH to keep his face shaved & his chest trimmed, he keeps his manscaping up to date down below, and he doesn't have shoulder or back hair but if he did I'd make him shave it, that freaks me out.0

As far as I am concerned hair on a man is totally sexy, I just love it! And lets be real, this is the way God made you. I don't see why men shave off their hairy chest, arms, back etc.. since it is natural and beautiful! These male models these day with their bare hairless chest etc. are not sexy in any way! So guys go naturla and let the hair grow!
If we all thought about the way 'god made us' the women would be hairy also. Gross.0 -

Just curious: Seen you use this before, what does DH stand for? I assume it's your loving hubby.0 -

HA! definitely NOT a fan of how god made me! If I only had my eyebrows and the hair on my head I would be THRILLED. Who wants to buy me some laser hair removal???0 -

How sweet!!! I feel the same way about my DH.0 -
I will throw my .02 cents in....
I dont shave the legs, arms dont have enough to shave, trim the armpits so they are not crazy and the manscaping is of the utmost importance....you have to agree on that0 -

I like men to have hair, as long as he's well groomed.0

Well, when it bothers my wife, she shaves it. But let me tell you, the older I get, the more she is shaving. What's up with that?0

I do trim down there but not too much off. I hate when the boys stick to my thighs. :ohwell:
And there is no way anyone and I MEAN ANYONE ELSE is shaving me there.
Huhhhhhhhh KELLY CLARKSON0 -

For those who were wondering...
See if that works.
Wolf, you have to make the "img" lower case instead of upper case.0 -
Thank you...I was just researching that :laugh:0

Ya',,, none of that for me. I run the clippers over and get the hair off, but I don't shave. Never done it, but it just doesn't sound appealing. Just lots of acreage, sounds time consuming.0

You could always light off your charcoal grill on a hot day after using too much fluid while you're naked. That'll trim you up.0

I'm a fairly hairy dude. I'm not quite to Sasquatch level, but quickly getting there. I try to keep my back smooth and keep everywhere else trimmed. Although, I did recently shave a little south and like the results.0
