Thanks, I'm going to see if I can make a gluten free version of this. I went to buy proteins bars and they were over $50 for 12, which is insane!

I made a gluten free version! I used Nature's Path GF Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise cereal and they're awesome!

Thsi recipe sounds wonderful, and thanks for the gluten free suggestion; my son has a gluten allergy, and now I can share with him!

  • Made some today. Used PB2 instead of peanut butter, almond extract instead of vanilla, added 3 scoops of vanilla protein powder and added 1/4 cup special dark choc chips. 161 cal, 4.5g fat, 23g cho, and 10g protein. This is for 12 servings.
  • You can find good deals on nutrition bars on Amazon.com; Also CVS and Walgreens have sales on them all the time.
Try the Oatmeal and Cranberry Powerbars, which are great and only 130 calories each.
  • Do you have the nutrition facts on them? How many calories, fat, sugar, and protein per bar? I know it depends upon the exact ingredients, but I wanted to get a ball park figure. Thanks!
  • Can't wait to make this!

Thanks for the recipe! We have a peanut allergy in the family, so I am going to try these today with soy butter! Sounds great!
