I always laugh at the, "The makers say their method should be combined with healthier food choices, exercise, and smaller portions to achieve lasting weight lost" in every weight loss invention/pill.
If you combine healthier food choices, exercise and smaller portions then can't a vast majority of people lose weight on their own with lasting weight loss and lose 1-2 lbs a week? :huh:0 -
mmm that sounds hot...Great meal grandma mind if I sit on your couch and extract it all from my gut Wouldn"t be less work and less gross to just eat a smaller portion and work out....0

Well, I thought that the "diet fork" shown at the CES was the dumbest weight loss thing I had heard this week but it now looks ingenious in comparison!
Just think of all of the uses for this!
Save on dental bills by getting around that nasty acid build up on your teeth from vomiting!
Get your money's worth at every Casino buffet in Vegas!
100 shots in 100 minutes without having to stop to "break the seal"!
Give a whole new meaning to the classic childhood term "see-food"!
Maybe start composting the "leftovers"?

Maybe they can find a better way to poop for us too. Cause I'm WAY over that unpleasantness as well. :bigsmile:0

This is just wrong! I am all for a person making their own choices for their bodies. It is not for me to judge anyone for doing something that will lead to the benefit of their health. That being said, yes I was (and still am) upset at my mother for doing the bypass. Not because she did it, because she didn't really put in any real effort to lose weight the natural way. She felt that she should be able to eat as she was (and still does now that she is beyond the harsher restrictions leading to and directly following), and be able to lose weight not changing anything about her life. She was led to believe this surgery would cure her diabetes. ANYWAY, I digress. If a procedure is medically required, then take the least invasive route, but to pump your own stomach... I am not sure there is much of a difference between this contraption and the acts of a person suffering from Bulemia Nervosa. The benefit to this being no possible loss of teeth0

If I didnt know better ,I would think today is April 1st !!! This cannot be right !!!!0

jaw dropped...no words
This. I am TOTALLY judging. If you opt for this. You really don't deserve to be on this planet.0 -
Disgusting! And you will never learn portion control so as soon as you stop using it the weight will come back0

thanks for the laugh today, people...0

Anorexia/Bulemia without the tooth decay from acid erosion caused by repeated vomiting. Wow. (sarcasm font inserted here) Sounds like a great idea.0

Yea, I think I will keep doing what I am doing. Much less gross, and cheaper. Eat enough, excercise enough, and laugh enough. thats all it takes.0

:drinker: Thanks for the disclaimer. ::laugh:0 -
I haven't read through all the comments, but isn't this just bulimia? The same thing can be accomplished for a lot cheaper by sticking your finger down your throat.0

People in our society want everything for nothing. No one wants to put in the hard work it takes to be successful anymore.0

What doctor would actually install this in someone?

Well maybe she will be like my mother, her 1st gastric by pass she had me stop at the store on the way home from the hospital, get me some of those little butter nut bites in a box, and a big bottle of coke.,... Hmmm now why didnt that work? it was so painful I just dont understand why it didnt work she said. Forward 20 yrs, her 2nd gastric by pass, she followed all the directions and lost 240 lbs IN ONE YEAR. OMG why do I have all this skin hanging, I have to roll my boobs up to get them in my bra!!!! I think I will pull all my teeth out, since they are falling out one by one, oh I cant wear dentures, I have no jaw bones to hold them in. OMG I went from looking 20 yrs younger to looking like a hag over night. I know Im nearly 70 but I am saving the money for skin removal, tummy and butt tuck, and a boob job. What, if I would have walked or done minor excercise while i was loosing weight that first year, I would have all these issues.... Nah.... Finally, wtf, you put our 4 generation picture on fb, I looke like a hag, get out of my life. lol
I think I will take the healthy way, so I dont end up looking like a hag, skin hanging, and rolling my boobs into my bra. hahaha. as far as telling people to get out of my life, because of choices i have made, I dont think that is a side effect of surgery, maybe a head injury? lol0 -
disgusting and so wrong!0

It wouldn't be the same as vomiting. Vomiting habitually or routinely is very damaging to the esophagus. One of the biggest risks of bulimia is stomach bile eating through the esophagus, which can be deadly.
The long term risks of this stomach pump are probably just as bad as bulemia.0 -
Yeah. It's totally better than working toward your goals and feeling good about yourself. :noway:0
