How many lbs did you lose before you heard...

the 20lb mark about three months in, mainly as I'd only just bought clothes to suit the weight loss of it, and now, even though I've plateaued for three months now, I still keep getting them which is a nice perk even though I've not had any real loss since before November.0

Funny thing is i heard it after 8 lbs and then again after I had put on 5lbs and those 5 pounds definitely were not muscle haha the human eye can be so funny.0

It was progressive... so I was told "holy crap I didn't realize it until I saw you!"
Now, my aunt and some friends are starting to say "what's going on here? You're too skinny!"
I tell them to bite me0 -
At Christmas my sis-in-law, who I only see once a year- asked me if I had lost weight. I was so happy I wanted to hug her. She is a super athelete. I had lost 25lbs, I was convinced it was fitting into those next sized down jeans that did the trick. Clothes that actually fit instead of baggy really can make a difference. Now I need to get off my *kitten* and get into an even smaller size. Maybe someday into single digit sized jeans.0

I have not heard it yet, I say yet as I'm waiting for that day!!!!!
It's coming...
Just keep doing what your doing. I'm 6'3 so for me it wasn't really as noticeable until i lost around 30lbs. Now I get the shocked looks and questions when people see me that I don't interact with on a daily basis.0 -
I'm 5'5", and it really wasn't until I lost nearly 25 pounds that someone said *anything*. Then people really started to notice. Part of it I think has to do with the change in body composition - I looked like a lost some weight with the first 25 pounds, but then losing the next tend pounds made me look a lot smaller, so people really started to notice. It just varies from person to person and where you lose the weight from.0

from people I work with it was around 20. I have now lost 62 and my landlord looked at me last night and asked "have you lost a lot of weight or have I gained a lot?" I assured him happily that he had not gained anything that I could tell so it must be the 62 I've lost. His mouth literally fell open and he apologized for not noticing sooner LOL :smokin:0

I stayed at the same weight for a couple years, it seemed like I heard it at least once a month, regardless. I don't know if it was my posture or what. Since I actually started losing, I haven't heard it yet. Funny...0

I had gained 10lbs in 15 days (I was eating 4,000 calories or more a day so, yes it was all fat) and I lost it without trying within a month or two so I don't really count that. I lost like 4-5lbs from my normal weight and then a few people commented that I had lost weight.0

My family is way more likely to say something than outsiders. But on occassion I get someone asking what I am doing. For me I have changed my diet dramatically over the last few years. Most people do not want to change that dramatically.
The best compliment I have ever had is "You are melting away what are you doing?"0 -
Around the 25 lb mark!0

20 pounds is when people started commenting...and haven't stopped.0

Almost 40. No one said anything to me for quite some time. I lost my weight very slowly though.0

10-15... think it showed in the face0

Around 30 pounds -- my grown daughter came to visit for the first time in a few weeks. When she hugged me she got a surprised look at how far she had to compress the baggy clothes before she felt the person in them. Then she said,
"Mommy's all trim!" It was awesome.0 -
I'm 5'5", weighed 195# back then ....... lost 25# before a coworker mentioned my jeans looked really loose
I never told anyone I was trying to lose (that's MY business) ..... am down to about 150# now ..... and chipping away at some more !
Happy losing !0 -
i think it often depends on how you dress yourself.. ive actually gained weight in the past and people have asked if i lost weight because i was wearing darker more fitted jeans... ive just learned how to wear certain clothes for my body type.. and ive also lost weight and have looked bigger in certain outfits. if you have been making progress with your weight loss treat yourself to a new pair of jeans or clothes that compliment certain assets. :happy:0

I think people noticed around 25lb. I'm quite short, so that amount is very noticeable on my frame. But they didn't say anything. I cut my hair around the same time, and I lot a lot of comments on that, but the descriptions really made me think that they saw a difference but couldn't put their finger on it, so blamed it on the hair cut, LOL!0

30 - 35 ... now it's almost 70 ... and I've been getting "are you losing weight because you want to or because you've been ill and have health problems?"
Really? Are you frickin' KIDDING ME????
LOL ... oh well ... at least they notice ...0 -
It was about 20lbs for me0

The previous times Ive lost weight its around the 14-21 lb mark (or 1 - 1.5 stones) Its normally based on a comment of how my face has completely changed shape. When im larger my face is perfectly round and chubby. When I drop lbs my cheek bones are quite pronounced.
That one comment can often drive you on especially when your going through a rough patch... its helped me many times before.
That's why I always pay somebody a compliment if they are looking good or in good shape because when your on the receiving end of it makes you feel so good and happy that your hard work is paying off!0 -
about 20-25 lbs. then around 40lbs i started hearing rumors that i was on drugs, and thats why id lost so much weight. that one was from my inlaws :noway:0

15-20.
My boss is constantly making comments like, "You've been losing a lot of weight lately."0 -
Around 26 lbs.0

I was at the 70 lb mark before anyone made any comments to me...in fact it wasn't until my surprise 30th birthday party one person noticed and then I was bombarded with questions haha!0
-
A few people commented early on..but in the last couple of weeks everyone has been noticing. So I guess around 35 pounds.0

I am waiting....0

I've yet to experience that feeling of having others actually noticing your hard work. It must feel good!Congratulations to everyone. I look forward to it. (:0

I haven't heard it yet. It usually takes quite a bit, but no one ever thought I was 100lbs overweight either. I hide it well, which is a blessing and a curse when gaining and disappointing when losing! I think if more people noticed me losing, I would have been trying harder sooner.0
