Adjust your nutrition goals and exercise frequency depending on your own results, not by someone else's results.
Most diets and pre-packaged exercise programs assume "one size fits all," and when you don't get the results that someone else did, you give up and move on to something else. But we have to learn that our bodies will respond different than other people's bodies do, so we have to use personal feedback to find what works for us.0 -
Eat less, move more.0

Be true to yourself, and not a dustbin for food.
I haven't heard the word dustbin in years0 -
Eat food that's high in volume and low in calories. Sounded simple enough.
This was told to me the first week I started WW in 2011. It's stuck with me ever since.0 -

Live as though the way you look today is the best you will ever look. Flaunt it! -- Because one day you'll be right and if you missed it, it'll be gone forever.0 -
Honestly, the best advice I've heard is about MFP.
My brother joined and was tracking just for fun, but he talked about it a lot. I think at that time he lost 5lbs just by logging. After a while I decided I needed to do it too. In the past year I have lost a total of almost 25lbs. Couldn't have done it with out being on here.0 -

Most useful tips are indicated by girth. Personally, I get a lot of use out of those tips, when I am given them.
Another useful tip is $10.00 or so, depending on services rendered.0 -

I am 53 and once again on the journey to loose 130 lbs, have lost 18 lbs so far folks!! No one has given me this tip, but a life time of dietting has taught me: I will always have a green eyed monster trying to control what I eat - and it loves food, mostly bad food. I have realized it is up to me to decide everyday this is what I want: to eat healthy vs. diet (diet = restriction). So my moto is "Eat to Live". Plus, shop on the out skirts of the store: where the fresh and less processed foods are kept. Use a menu and a shopping list - stick to it. Do not keep junk foods at home. If you want a snack or desert - go out for a single serving, enjoy it, and move on. Lastly, use a 10% Rule. If 90% of what you eat is within your target range of calories (or whatever system you use to achieve weight loss/health) then 10% of the time enjoy a dinner out with foods you miss; ie: 9 meals on target, one meal off (within reason).
Laugh more, eat less!0 -
