Why eat only cereal when you can eat whatever you want within you're calorie goal?0
-
Why? Sound's like a way to get malnourished.
Eat a healthy mix of lot of different foods in appropriate amounts. It's much less boring.0 -
Why.. cereal has almost no nutritional value... you are better off eating lean whole foods, fruits and veggies and actually enjoy food.0

I love me some Lucky Charms, but I can't imagine eating them all day, every day.0 -

That's what I'm sayin'!0 -
It's just a version of a low calorie diet. I don't think there's much nutritional value in cereal to be honest. For the same calories you could have a nice tuna salad, full of protein.
My 3 year old likes shreddies at the moment, that's what he had for breakfast and lunch today! I think as adults we need to eat more than a 3 year old does!0 -
I have never heard of a cereal diet? I have heard of the Special K plan where you eat their products 2 times a day. That doesn't sound very good though.0

I read this post title as: CARBS!0

So what happens after the 2 week cereal splurge? I'm confused.....:huh:0
-
why would you do that?
you could do a "eat all the fruit, veggies, cereal, skim milk, yogurt, almonds, fish and chicken you want diet" as long as you stick within your calorie range, and I bet you wouldn't get sick of it.0 -
I think you are setting yourself up for failure.
Eat at a deficit get some exercise and do not expect the weight to fall off overnight.0 -
I have nothing constructive to add to this odd diet. Oh. Maybe milk.0
-
Two weeks with nothing but the very limited nutrition available in cheerios?! :noway: Sounds so healthy, safe and sustainable. Good luck with that.0

This will not be the magic that you're hoping for.0

They are magically delicious and pure awesomeness!!!!0 -
I like cereal. Sometimes I have a high fiber/low fat cereal for breakfast but it doesn't "hold me over" as much as a protein does. I can't imagine eating cereal for 2 weeks would be any better then just eating a healthy, sensible breakfast every morning.0

Finally, a stupid diet that sounds fun.0

They are! Which is why I love them so.0 -
Bad Move!!! Why starve your body of the nutrients it needs? Eat healthily and excercise!0
-
First - you cannot get all the nutrients you need from cereal.
Second - I'm assuming that on this crazy diet you only eat cereal. I LOVE cereal. I always have 3-5 different cereals because I like variety. I remember when there were days most of my meals were cereal. Not because of a diet but just because that's all I wanted.
Let's say that although it was great consuming it..it was not great excreting it. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK! You've been warned.0 -
hmm okI see everyones point. I look at it as a low calorie diet. I also see it as an "easy" low calorie diet because you don't have to think that much about it. cereal. cereal. small dinner. a cup of cereal and a cup of milk = 220 calories pick something a LITTLE more nutritious like 2 eggs and a slice of sanwich ham = 230 ( at least you are getting protien- it should just give you more than cheerios) and eat that twice a day...or you know eat what you want and stay under your calories...shrug...to each their own!0

I'd rather do the 280 calorie Snickers diet.0

I don't think she'll have any issues with her micronutrients with how heavily fortified cereals are. However, I think if I ate all my calories in my fave cereal (All Bran) and milk (unsweetened vanilla almond), I would still feel pretty hungry and lethargic.
Also, I can't imagine not eating hot food on an icy winter's day.0 -
