I just bought this today. I'm hoping I am it enough to get thru level 1.0
-
I just bought mine today as well! Tomorrow is a new day! Are you starting tomorrow as well?0
-
I have this Dvd!!! Count me in!!!0
-
Yay I've just started as well, although I'm alternating Ripped in 30 and running as I'm training for a 1/2 marathon ( it's a long time away and I'm terrified since I can only run 5km so far).
Anyway I'm about the same as you 28yrs, 5'7 and CW 151lbs. I don't really have a goal weight I want more muscle definition if that makes sense.
I did week 1 yesterday and it killed me (in a good way) and my HRM is telling my I burnt over 300cals hooray!0 -
yay im so excited! i just bought it today! i will be starting tomorrow cant wait to see results! ive done 30 day shred but only have done up to day 12/13 and stopped cuz i get bored but i feel like it will be easier with ripped in 30 because you work on each level for only one week! oh and my stats are: height: 5'6 weight: 135 and gw 1240
-
Okay Frenshan1!! You're in!
Eva- have you done the 30ds before this? IF you did, do you like how the ripped is different?
jenna- i know EXACTLY what you mean! I got bored around the 5-6 day mark so I think ripped will be perfect.0 -
woohoo!! just completed day 1 level 1!!!! whew!! Let's get it ya:glasses: 'll!!!0
-
I'm just finishing up 30 Day Shred today and I really regret not measuring BEFORE starting it
On a happier note - I am down 8-10lbs (depending on the day LOL), I'm not changing my clothes 6x before I leave my house to find what "fits me best" and a dress I bought last year that never did up now does up with space to spare so that's definitely progress I'd say
Going to start ripped in 30 tomorrow morning but i'm going to make sure I jote down my stats first *mission for tonight* !
Run's complete now off to finish my final workout for 30 day shred Talk about a "love-hate" relationship0 -
I'm so excited I found this thread and it just started! Yay! I am planning on starting Ripped in 30 tonight. I am finishing up my MBA in May and my husband and I have decided to TTC baby #2 once I have finished. I would like to lose about 30 lbs before this to get into a healthy weight range. That gives me about 17 weeks which is really faster than I would like to lose, but I'll be ok with any amount of success as long as my body is healthier! I have started Level 1 of 30DS a couple of times but I've never been able to stick it out.
I gained too much weight with my first pregnancy and ended up with high blood pressure and a really difficult labor, so I want to do everything I can to make it easier and safer this time around.0 -

Congrats on finishing your MBA! My husband wants to TTC #2 as well after we get back from our big trip.
Did you do ripped last night? If you did, how was it compared to 30ds? I know 30ds was hard to begin but it got easier until you hit the next level. Don't give up on ripped! You can do it!0 -

Count me in! I bought the dvd several months ago but only used it a couple of time. (Typical lol). But I really wanna stick with it this time because I travel a lot with my new job (And I gained 10 lbs. in 4 months because of it!) and I can pop this into my laptop easily.

Out of curiosity which one would you reccomend for an obese couch potato to start with? You guys got me maybe wanting to try it.0

I started this on Saturday, I could do with some encouragement! especially with the weather (UK) being so cold atm, my day after aches from doing this are unbearable.

how are people finding it? I nearly fainted on my go at level 1, it was about the same intensity as 30DS level 2 I thought. I already used my rest day on day 3 as I couldn't move properly. But I think the strength sections are a bit easier being split into 3 sections rather than 2.0 -

I feel like probably the Ripped would be better for you to start with. Level 1 of Ripped is definitely easier than L1 on Shred. Maybe alternate. 1 week of Ripped then 1 week of shred. That way you have the "easy" levels for 2 weeks. You can do it! If you spend 30 minutes surfing the net, just spend that 30 minutes doing it! and get it over with!0 -
Welcome to the Newcomers! SO glad to have you in our group! I noticed a couple of you guys are pretty close to where I'm at. Pretty cool! I'm excited that we're all going to do this Ripped (or shred) together!
I just finished L1D1 of Ripped and it was over before I knew it! I LOVE IT! *so far* haha. I can definitely feel the soreness in my glutes and hammies and even up into my buns from the half workout I did yesterday to see how my back could take it and oh my goodness! I can't wait til tomorrow!! ahhh!!!0 -
Aww man! Im starting Week 3 today. I couldnt find a thread about Ripped in 30 when I started. Well, good luck ladies! Week 2 is extremely tough!0

wow! So as someone who's made it through weeks 1 & 2. are you seeing progress?0 -
Hey guys! I have made it through the entire dvd (5-6 days per week) early last year and am redoing it, due to me becoming a couch potato after my wedding! I remember feeling much more toned and noticeably smaller after the 4th week- sorry I didn't take any pictures :-S It DOES work though- and I didn't even follow her diet plan.
I am starting week three today and have been following her recommendation of around a 1400-1500 calorie diet, with the exception to giving myself one cheat meal a week (plus a few light alcoholic beverages during the week)- otherwise I would never get through a strict diet! After the first couple days of week one, I noticed I was already smaller and my husband agreed. However, I haven't really noticed any big changes in my stomach (which is what I am most looking forward to) since then, but have seen my arms tone up significantly and all my muscles feel harder.
Week three is the hardest of all of them due to all the balancing, but if you get through it you will definitely be able to tell! Good luck! This is a great workout DVD- and some of her meal recommendations aren't bad either- I suggest you try some of them and make your own menu to follow

P.S. 6 Pack in 6 Weeks & Extreme Shed & Shred are great workouts too. Haven't made it through here recommendations on those yet, but will after I finish Ripped in 30!0 -

Ohh perfect! I happen to have just started again yesterday. This'll be my 3rd or 4th attempt to finish the whole thing...haha. I've a wedding to go to in 5 weeks so I'm really motivated now.
