Why so late? I'm hitting the gym at 5:30, Pacific time. Rise and shine, campers!0

I'm with ya It is too difficult to get in my workout in the evenings when I get home from work because of dinner, school etc. But..I have to start getting ready for work by 7am or I will be late. Rest assured, you are not alone. When I want to hit that snooze button, I tell myself that if I get up now and do this, that is one less thing I have to do when in the evening.
Keep at it!0 -
I'm usually there a little after 6 am. Love early morning workouts!0

When I have to be in work early, I am up at with you... Otherwise it's 6/630 to fit in a walk before work. Luckily, I live close to work right now. We are hoping to get dog(s) soon, so I will absolutely have to get out of bed when the alarm goes off. Good luck...you can do it!!!0

Thx for all the responses! I was reading these while I was cycling. Stationary bike of course lol not THAT talented. It really helps to imagine tons of people up and at it. Makes me feel like a loser. Motivation )0

I head to bed about 9 pm and up at 3:30 am for my workout. I leave for work at 4:30 on days I ride my bike to work and 6 am other days.0

Weekdays I'm at the gym when the doors open at 5 a.m. It can be a grind sometimes but that is really the only time I can get my workout in, and I always feel better after it's done knowing it won't be hanging over my head all day.0

5 to 5:30 everyday before work - it's the only time nothing gets in the way!!! Enjoy - its a great way to start the day!!!
Me too. I get out of bed at 5, and try to be on the machine by 5:10. I'm done by 6 to start my day. It is so nice to have that time to myself without kids or husband asking for something. We are all here with you in spirit in the early morning!0 -
This is probably wierd but it will help me to get up and exercise if I know of others that r exercising with me somewhere. So......anyone?
Two to three days a week I'm up with you at 5:45 a.m. (Central Time), outside in the cold, running. You're not alone! Rock on!0 -
I spent 5 years getting up at 3:30am to teach a 5:45am Cycle class three times a week (in addition to teaching 4 more classes nightly). When I quit those early morning classes I've never gotten up that early except for early morning clients. My workouts are daytime or evening now.0

Yes... In fact I'm on the elliptical by 5:15am. I realize that it's early but I see it as my "ME" time. Furthermore... If I don't don't do it at this time I find that life gets in the way and I use it as excuses to not work out. My early workout also helped me get rid of a lot of weight (about 55lbs worth) when I decided that I didn't want to be fat anymore. It gave me structure.
Good luck. Hope this helps inspire you to wake up early to workout.0 -
Add me to the early morning exercise group --- 5:50 am MST. I use the "you snooze, you lose" motto to keep me from hitting the snooze button in the mornings. I also like the mornings better because it gets me going and I'm hopeful that it will rev my metabolism for continued fat burning throughout the day. As an added bonus, I don't have to feel guilty when I get home to make sure I get a workout in since I already did so in the morning. :happy:0

Always at five or six Or sometimes even four or three. I keep a strange schedule so I'm up at night and in the morning is when I have the most energy and I'm really focused.0
-
Yes you're not alone! I wake up at 5am and my gym is half full by the time i get there at 530, keep pushing!0
-
Definitely! my alarm goes off at 520am, I am straight into workout clothes and either do exercise dvds or go running, I am at my happiest this time of the day and find it more difficult as the day goes on!0

I get up at 4:50am to go to my basement to work out Monday-Friday and get up at 6:00am on the weekends .0

I wake up at 4:55am. I'm at the gym at 5:30 or 6:30 depending on which gym I go to.
I'm a member at Anytime Fitness (small gym) but my friend is a member at Planet Fitness (bigger gym). I get in for free with her.
I work upper body on Mondays, lower body on Tuesdays, midsection on Wednesdays, run and shoulder work on Thursdays, run on Fridays, ride on Saturday mornings, and run or ride on Sundays.0 -
Yup 5a boot camp M-W-F, 5:30a cardio S--T-Th0

Starting at 0600, most mornings.
Some days I'll run during lunch too.0 -
Only exercise I get at that hour is my mind. I start work at 4:45 a.m0

Working nights I would try and get to the gym after work at 7AM, or at least come home and do something. Not always easy, but I found it would be easier to go to the gym when I'm already out and about rather than leave the house later to do so. Plus it freed up the rest of my day for naptime! However, switching to a 3-11 schedule this coming week again, which means I am definitely going to have to work on this getting up and working out thing early. I am totally not someone who will find that easy!0
-
I would love to work out early inthe morning but I have to be to work at 5:30. My gym doesn't open till 5. So I work out after work, everyday!!0

Obviously I'm just starting out. Do you guys eat before you exercise in the morning or after?
Totally AFTER!: I get stomach cramps if I eat before, unless I got up at 3 to let my food digest for an hour! The only thing I might do is have an 8 oz protein shake (just protein powder and water, 0 fruits)0
