Transformations -- Pear Shape

Okay srsly, how in bloody hell are you guys losing weight in your hips and booty and thighs yet keeping your breasts?! My body won't give up an ounce of booty fat until my rack is completely decimated. I'm going to end up looking more pear shaped than ever at this rate because I'll have nothing left on top to balance it out...sigh. It is, however, highly encouraging that thin thighs may actually fall within the realm of possibility for me.
better than my situation. i never had breasts to begin with, just big thighs and a big butt. in losing 20 pounds, i'm overall thinner, but my thighs are still very big in comparison. i think i would have to get down to be underweight to ever have normal sized thighs. doesn't matter how heavy i am though, i'll never have breasts unless i get implants.0 -
I only shop the clearance racks, so that automatically cuts the selection way down, but I've found loads of cute bras at Target and Kohls. Granted, they're probably meant for teenagers, but 1) no one sees them by my husband and me, and 2) there's nothing wrong with having boobs like a teenager in your 40s.
yeah, better than sagging.0 -
I still have a lot of thighs, but a lot less than I used to. I'm 5'5 and 40 years old.
July 2010, about 152#
Today, 135#
It is amazing what a 25 lb difference looks like!0 -
I am a pear shape as well and I love my figure, it's like an hourglass with more butt haha
Amazing transformations!!0 -
I don't really view people who have big boobs and a big thighs and butts as pear shaped. I view that as hourglass shaped. True pear shaped doesn't have boobs.0

I carry all of my extra weight (when I have extra weight) in my hips, thighs and butt. But weight training has proved to help change my shape.
5'4" 130-ish pounds (probably more like 135 but I didn't weigh myself back then).
Now - 112 pounds and drastically lowered the hippy-ness and thighs!
I would so love to have your figure!!! You are just rockin it!!!0 -
Still pear shaped but I'm a smaller pear. This took 3 months.

Down 116lbs.
*Edit- I'm 5'9 for reference! And I don't really have a secret... Be honest with yourself.0 -
Dedication.
I ate a calorie deficit and I began working out. I was frustrated ALL the time, but I started to see the scale creep down. The losses kept me motivated.0 -

Wow, I hope more people post because I cannot seem to get anywhere with my hips/thighs, and I weight lift, run, and burn up the cardio machines! lol0

can't really tell but I am def pear shaped .....I have lost about 60+ lbs and still am very pear shaped. I'm an "a" cup and my hips wont budge and neither will my saddle bags. I am hoping to have a boob job to help me fake an hour glass lol.0 -
I hope you don't mind me saying, but I think that your after figure is the epitome of "the perfect figure" , slim but not skinny, and feminine curves..... jealous much lol

i agree - perfection in my eyes too0 -
I'm pear shaped and want to lose 20-25 lbs more, majority in my legs maybe 15 lbs and the rest from arms, and upper body. So frustrating, thinking about taking up a more intensive weight lifting regimen.0

For me, I lost my weight from the top down. For a few years I thought I was pear shape because of the way I lost, and didn't realize HOW i was losing. Last month my SIL and I went shopping, and she said to me "hey, you don't really have any hips, you know" (It wasn't an insult), and I realized that the weight in my hips is now going. All that is left is the thighs... which I am happy to say buh-bye to!
I don't really have too many... or any before and afters, but you can go ahead and look at the pics on my profile. I don't have any REALLY recent body shots... though mabe for this thread I will post one as my profile pic... Most of the pictures were taken in the spring and early summer. If you look carefully you can see the changes in my waist.
Oh, and the best thing for me has been strength training, mixed with light cardio.0 -
Great job every one! I'm a fellow pear.0
