What frustrates you the most about weight loss?

The internal struggle between eating what I REALLY want to, and looking the way I REALLY want to.
AMEN
I second that!0 -
1)That it takes a lot of time to lose, but not as long to gain.
2) Knowing that I am not a special snowflake and that I will need to be on top of my food intake for the rest of my life to ensure I never get back to where I started
3) Starting new exercise programs that can make the scale stop movng for a few weeks and trying to stay positive about this and not
getting discouraged
4) Not being as "regular" in the washroom department as I was bfore (maybe TMI but its REALLY FRUSTERATING!!!)
5) Keeping a positive mindset - this is really hard because everyone has their days.....0 -
It can take me a month (or 2) to lose 5 pounds; however I can gain 5 pounds in a weekend0

The only thing that can be frustrating for me is the time involved. When I started, I KNEW it was going to take about a year...possibly a little more.....to reach my final goal. I maintained from Thanksgiving to the present but after 2 months I am back to cases again. Four more months till my first year anniversary. Its going to be a LOOONG 4 months but I am committed.0

what frustrates me most is that i want INSTANT sucess--i have to remind myself that i didn't "gain" instantly, so it's not coming off instantly ##practicingpatience0

Nothing really. I just do what I have to do. Its fun to change up my game plan try this and that. Since everyone is different I know I must find my own path to success.0

The insistency of my fat loss. I'm told to stop using the scale because it doesn't reflect muscle gain. Therefore I've said &@$! the scale and rely on body fat % which is always all over the place. What's a reliable gauge? Extremely frustrating!!0

That it takes forever.0

I hate how long it takes. I know it's working. . . but get on with it! LOL!0

I hate that it's gotten so complicated. It used to be "go on a diet", and it didn't matter if the diet had 500 calories or 1200 calories; I just followed the diet until I was done. Now it's such a delicate balance of eating too much/not eating enough, exercising too much/not exercising enough, cardio vs resistance on and on and ON AND ON!0

Honestly, nothing really frustrates me about weight loss, but I think I know what you mean because I do get frustrated by so many people telling me I'm doing it wrong because I'm doing it differently than they are/did.
Everyone knows they should "eat right and exercise", but OMG there are a lot of different and sometimes crazy ideas about what that means.0 -
The plateau's after you give it all you got. But also where & how the weight comes off. It kinda makes me wonder is that how it came on? For example: the 1st thing I noticed was my bloated belly, my hips & thighs. Why can't it come off there 1st then eveywhere else lol :grumble:0

Great thread - I can relate to so many of the responses BUT, I've been at this for three years (and years before that). I am no longer frustrated with how long this takes, I now know that eating right and exercising is a life long committment - the weight loss is BONUS. I know I'm going to get to a number (or look/feeling) when I'm 100% happy with myself and I'll still have to keep eating well and exercising
Weight loss is practice!0 -
What frustrate me? People, family, and friends. The questions and the fact that they think they have the right to tell me how to do it when they are in worse shape than I am. No one in my circle exercises or eats healthy. If they do diets, is all crash ones, like only vegetable broth and stuff like that. My mother is worried that my kids will get to “skinny” because my cooking has changed. My coworker now ask me if I’m looking for men after work because I’m taking care of myself, losing weight, using makeup, and doing my hair daily (I've been married for 9 yrs! ) I just wish everybody will just mind their business and love me and my transformation for what it is.0
