Lost just over 40lbs. Definitely lost one pant size (for sure) maaaaaybe two. Yay for tall-ish, bottom-heavy spoons!

Same. Well I've lost 33lbs and no trouser sizes. Annoying I an understatement.

I lost total of 77 pounds. I was in size 38 pants and now able to take off my size 30 bluejeans without unzipping and unbutton them. I am still losing weight, although at much slower rate. From 254LBs to 177LBs since August 16, 2011.

I lost 19 pounds so far and went from a size 12 to a tight 6 so 3 pants sizes
  • I had lost 10 pounds before I could go from a size 8 to a size 6, so I think it takes around 10 pounds for me to go down a size.

65lbs down 15 to a 4....I think it all really depends on the person. I would like to lose pant sizes without dropping much weight now.

It takes me 20lbs each time to lose a jean size, I've lost 17lbs and went from a baggy 18 to a snug 16...Not really too happy to be honest.
  • My weight is remaining the same but my pants are getting looser

Lost 105lb's and went from a Mens 46 to Mens 38. It was 13lb's per 1 inch.

Congratulation on the massive effort to lose all that weight.

I'm a bit confused. I checked your profile and it says "you aren't in the same boat". So you are good at your current weight? You are good with a size 38 pants? At your current weight, and I'm 6'4", I would still be classified as overweight.

It's not always about weight. His BF% could b low. My husband is 6'1 230 lbs, but he's 20% BF, so he doesn't look overweight at all. By BMI standards he is obese tho. He wears a 34 pants. He only has to lose 30lbs roughly to become 10% & ripped. He's got a ton of muscle.

Lost 23 and my tight 20s are now loose but no change in pant size yet. I always lose my weight from the top down. I can see my cheekbones again and feel trimmer in the middle but my bottom and legs are always last to change.

I gained 22 pounds, went from 133 to 155 lbs. But I went from a size 8 to a size 6! So you do not necessarily have to lose weight in order to lose sizes. How is it possible? Lifting heavy and eating plenty (2400-2600kcal that is)!!!

Lost 38 pounds, gone down from 42 to 38 in suit/formal trousers and from 42 to 36 in jeans.

My partner has lost 33 pounds and has gone from 36 to 32 in jeans and formal trousers.

Great as it means I have a stack of clothes to inherit!

Women hold most of their stubborn weight around the hips area. Its not surprising that most women need to shift some serious weight to drop pants sizes.

As for myself being a guy I lost about 25lb and went from 36" to around 32" or 33" waist.

lost 25 pounds and went from a banana republic petite size 12 (fitting snuggly) to a banana republic petite size 8 (fitting loosely) in similar cut pants. my size varies immensely depending on the brand and cut though. it can range anywhere from a 4 to a 10, maybe even a 2. vanity sizing is stupid.

for my 5'4" height and 115 weight, my pants size is still pretty big because of my wide hipped bone structure.

It goes faster as you lose more. I have gone from a loose 22 to a 10 or 12 depending on the manufacturer. Having to buy 22 really opened my eyes and got me moving!! LOL I was stuck in 18 - 16 for a long time but I realized a month ago I completely skipped over 14 and most 12 as well straight to 10. I have started strength training and upped my protein as well which I think has a lot to do with it!

Size 22 to a 10... So 6 sizes and 105lbs. Roughly 17.5lbs per size. I'm 5'10" and I'm sure someone short would go through sizes faster depending on where they lost it from.

    Hey Girl!
I've lost 46lbs and gone from a size 18 to a size 12, 3 sizes. It's definitely about where you store your weight. Mine is my stomach so I'd be in a 10 by now based on the fit of my legs and butt if I could just get them to button :P Stick with it!!

initial weight loss is water and glycogen stores in the muscles... if your eating the low calories MFP recommends than you could easily be losing a lot of muscle.. Your midsection isnt muscular. This is why everyone should strength train. If your numbers are going down you're eating too little. MFP is great for counting calories, it sucks for daily expenditure prediction.

i think it's more that the last place you gain the weight is the first place you lose it rather than losing muscle vs losing fat.

Almost 40 lbs, 3 sizes. I started out in 12s and now I'm a comfortable 6. But it hasn't been very regular. It took longest to get from a 12 to a 10. After that it went faster.
