Okay team-- j'ever see the movie Pollyanna? Sweet little orphaned girl, living with cold, Aunt Polly-- always found SOMETHING to be glad about.

I was heading downstairs to get laundry, ready to grumble because my new washers are set up in the garage instead of the laundry room, and I had to trudge it from the garage to the laundry room blah, blah, blah-- wretch that I am.

Suddenly it hits me-- how much worse would it be to go to the Laundromat? Sheesh!!!!!!!

We complain so easily about so many things my friend--

Our challenge this week, if you'll forgive me Batman for butting in, is for each of us every day to post something for which we're glad and/or thankful-- blessings abound, my friends-- we shall find them and acknowledge them this week. Accentuate the positive!

I'm glad I have a washing machine in my home and I don't have to go to the Laundromat!!

I am thankful for a really great husband who is doing really well putting up with my pregnancy hormonal-ness and understands how hard it is to be a SAHM and took the last 2 days off work to give me a much needed break.

I will have to agree with Beth, I am thankful for my boys - because no matter how much I complain about them I wouldn't be without them.

Thanks for this challenge Marla,

Lori- That truly is something to be greatful for..most men,...mine included think SAHM do nothing..or should I say in my case...did nothing..until he stayed home one weekend with them!!!

:blushing: Sorry. I couldn't help it. I could go on and on and on. Plus, it's TOM for me and I know that those feelings could change in an instant.

:drinker: I'll drink to that one. $260 for 'just a few things'. However, I'm grateful we are able to buy what we need.

I hear you. We stopped at Hy-Vee (a chain store in the midwest) for milk. Seriously, just two gallons of milk. 90 freakin' dollars later, we left. Sigh.....

Okay-- super duper guys-- so far, you're all passing!

This was an experiment-- for me, more than anybody else-- on mind over matter. There is SOOOOO much positive. And yes, SOOOOOOOO much negative around us. And yet, what so many people tend to do farr too often, me being the worst offender, is the struggles and trials and aggravations and irritations--

So, if nothing else during this week of Pollyanna, when you're tempted to get grumpy about whatever circumstance-- stop and find something positive in it. Find something to be glad about.

I've already caught myself today more times than you can imagine--

Here's a little clip from Pollyanna-- Hayley Mills was adorable.

    Love to all !!!!!

Loving this idea...Don't want to put out so many that I run out of things to say the rest of the week, but I have a lot.

*Thankful for my amazing BF, family and friends who have been amazing and super supportive this week when I needed it
*Happy that we may actually be able to take a week's vacation this year.
*Grateful that although we spend too much $$ at the grocery store, we are able to afford to buy healthy, fresh food that we need and want
*Grateful for the opportunity to start selling jewelry that I like as a part time business
*Grateful that even though I sometimes don't feel like running or working out, I am physically able to do so.

This is a great one, Marla!

I am thankful for a strawberry patch right down the road. Fresh strawberries are the bomb! I want them to last way longer than they are going to, today she said at most 2 more weeks. Wonder how many strawberries I can eat in 2 weeks?

Good morning and belated happy birthday donna.

I am thankful for the nice walk to school this morning, that my little mindee was late so I could get the majority of the school done with little chris in the buggy - so much easier

thanks marlaI really needed this one this mornig..

Am way to tired to be up going to the gym..but hey I am up and will be grateful when its over...So Friday is my weigh in day..

Last week I was 144.6 this week I was 143.4..down 1.2..I was like in my head this is it??? 1.2 pounds...Then its displayed everything else...down 0.5 % in fat and stayed the same in muscle..So I am greatful..muscle didnt go down and fat did..that makes me happy...Why should I be upset with losing 1.2 pounds I am almost 6.6 pounds down from goal weight...

Then I was upset that my washer went out..the transmission..went out in it..Then I was like (remember what marla said) and then I was like well at least it went out when we had the money to replace it...

So those are the things I am greatful for this morning...Drinking my coffeee..eating my french toast and then heading to the gym..its gonna be a long day...gottago buy a dress or my sisters graduation..and I have a pretty one picked out...that looked good on the lady in the window..I dont know if it will look that pretty on me.

Hope everyone has a great weekend..Not promising I willl be on here much this weekend, way to busy..even for me!!

Well my friends, made myself weigh, measure and do body fat % today. Not proud of the results, yet thankful I did it. I know how quickly I can change those numbers and for that I am truly grateful. I thank my body often for treating me pretty well for as crappy as I treat it on occasssion.

I also started thinking about how long I have until we leave for vacation (trip home) and how I want to be 'x' weight by then, etc. I sort of realized I am not motivated by such events. I kept trying it with the ball, it didn't work. I need to be motivated because I want to get there, not because I'll be here or there or want to look this way or that way at a certain time.

So I am grateful that I realized that I need to get back to doing it for me, not for anybody else. Just me. I can still set goals with time frames, but my reasons need to be different.

Is it wrong to be thankful that I remembered it's all about me?

As I bust into song with altered lyrics.......

I need to think about me
    Wanna think about I
    Wanna think about number one
    Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like thinking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I need to think about meeeeee (me,me,me,me-background singers)
It needs to be about me (me,me-background singers)
