Sam-- I'm glad the fever meds are working-- bless your heart.

My two little ones have had fevers, too-- Josh, 4, had it for two days, Caleb, 2, only one day-- nothing else seems to be wrong-- Josh is a little congested today, but nothing major-- Caleb's still a bit tired, but all in all they're okay.

Nothing worse than having sick ones-- they're so sweet.

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow-- and glad you brushed your teeth, too-- good job!

I am grateful that my son's birthday party is over. Nobody RSVP's. He thought hardly anybody was coming. We had 20 kids here. Wow. 13 and 14 year olds times 20 is ALOT of kids in the pool and hot tub and in general wrecking havoc. I'm glad it's over, I'm glad he had fun. There are 3 here for the night. They are wound tighter than anything. His room is right beside ours. This could get interesting. For a second I miss our big house in Maryland where there was a basement for such events but then I remember how much house that was to clean.

    MOTHERS

    Real Mothers don't eat quiche;
They don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
    Are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
    Filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough
    Doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what
    The vacuum just sucked up...

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
And get their answer when a little
Voice says, 'Because I love you best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth
Is not measured by height or years or grade...
It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother.....

    The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't know everything!

14 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother? She wouldn't have a clue.
    .
16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's so five minutes ago.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she
carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
    The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she
Shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

I am so thankful to still have my Mom with me at 85 years old! I'm going to visit with her this morning with my daughter then down to the beach to see DH Mom and sister for a BBQ - though I think it is going to feel like winter with this cold wind!

Donna-- it isn't nice making old ladies cry--

Hanging on til the time my kids think I have a clue again-- ha.

Seriously-- I'm blessed. My kids are wrapping my presents, and my husband is making breakfast--

    Proverbs 31:28 (New International Version)
    28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

    Have a lovely day, all--

ha-- too funny-- so to refresh some memories-- not sure I mentioned, or if y'all remember what I got last year for my birthday which totally, TOTALLY ticked me off--

    Rubbermaid containers.

Yep-- you read it right-- Rubbermaid containers...of all sizes. Woo-hooo-- oh, yeah, lest I forget...and some white, plastic spoons.

which was still more than I got for Mother's Day last year, or any other year-- my husband usually drops the ball big time.

thank God my children are now picking up the ball and running with it-- they bugged their daddy to take them shopping yesterday, and showed them the large crockpot I'd been eyeing. They know how I detested the Rubbermaid, and how generally speaking Dad's gifts totally suck-- ha. But, the crockpot, specifically, is something I'd been wanting.

So, they showed it to their father. "Oh, no-- I'm not buying appliances!" Still, they persisted and convinced him, even though he officially went on record in protest of the gift, to buy me the crockpot-- 7 quart, big sucker-- and I love it.

22 years of marriage and he doesn't know me very well-- eh? Sheesh.

Rebekah then bought me a lovely "juicy red apple" scented candle-- delightful--

DH then made breakfast for all of us-- and I'm now back to typing for most of the day. I took yesterday off completely, so have to kick her in gear today--

Wishing my beloved friends peace and joy this day-- I love you all!

    Happy Mothers Day my friends.

I am thankful that I have a friend who loves me enough to send me away for a day at the spa. Thankful that my in-laws would babysit so that I could have my day out, and so thankful for the massage that as Thomas has so kindly said has made me smell weird

Had a lovely day today, and even managed to get 20 minutes in on the bike this am before I went out. I have put some unleaded (gasoline) in the car and will tomorrow fill up the lpg tank. I also need to try and collect a 2 seater sofa tomorrow - heres hopeing that it will fit into my car

Have a good day, I now have to go and referee - its bed time

In honor of my beloved mother
    her mother
and as of Thursday morning, my dear Aunt Pat
This poem was given to my Gma by momma when she went away for a trip to NYC.

To one who bears the sweetest name,

and adds a luster to the same,

    who shares my joy,

    who cheers when sad,

the greatest friend I've ever had,

Long life to her for there's no other,

to take the place of my dear mother.

got the snot blown out of me on the sidelines of Hope's soccer game this day-- holy crap-- Auntie Em! Uncle Henry!!! Sheesh.

Bagged my run last night-- wind was steady at 25, gusting to 35-40-- yes, I'm on a schedule-- yes, I'm training for a half-- NO, I'm not running in a freaking tornado-- not happening.

Supposed to die down by this evening, so will run later--

Rebekah just made me a cake-- yummy cream cheese frosting-- I just licked the bowl. I'm such a two year old....but it was nummy.

Having a nice day here-- typing like crazy.

Sarah and my husband leave tomorrow for a golf tournament in Leawood, Kansas-- fingers crossed !!!!!!

    Later, my team!

I finally took the time to make up a new chest/back workout to start tomorrow. It will be good to have it on paper and start something new! Also I took a lot of time thinking about cardio. I feel like I have a plan to kick it back into a higher gear tomorrow. I am proud I finally took the time to do this for me!

Hope all my fellow moms had a wonderful day.

I'm loving my half marathon schedule-- I'm anal about schedules-- so this is a good thing. Got a bit off track due to the stinkin' gale force winds-- but still had 4 days of running this week.

I'll be happy to hear of your progress, my dear friend--

    Nite all-- typing bound!

I am thankful to God for the little rewards in life. Began potty training my son yesterday and he managed to have no accidents on the first day, not even 1 during his nap time. However, he had 3 accidents today while he was playing outside. BUT he just went poopoo in the potty at 11 this evening. HOORAY, for the little things in life! :drinker:

Good morning team....back at it today..

Worked from 5 am to 330 pm...and lets just say we were BUSY!! I did pretty good about eating at work they bought pizza so I had a piece and about 2 cookies...and a biscuit...Then when I came home the real challange started my honey made me.

Chicken and rice..corn on the cob...pasta salad..rolls..green bean casserole...chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin cheesecake...I ate all of the above..and I drank almost 200 oz of water.....then went for a 6 mile run..I am guessing I burned about almost 1700 calories yesterday if you count work...Its ok if I am up on friday,,it was mothers day...Back to the gym this morning!! Nota bog deal...

My honey bought me a 50 gift card to new york and company for mothers day..Yippee so excited!! I was able to buy a size 6 from there on friday and I never thought I would be in a size 6..Well gonna make my lunch for the day hope everyone has a fabulous day!!

Experimenting with some medicines-- trying to get off blood pressure medication which historically I've never needed except for post partum (after turning 35-- go figure)

Found a connection online between the medication and psorasis-- blah, blah, blah-- and have theories on my bloating being tied to them, as well-- and I hate taking pills if I don't need them.--

I'm up 7 pounds in three days. Blood pressure isn't bad, and I'm committed to seeing this through for at least a week to see what's up. If blood pressure shoots up, then I'll have to break and take it. But, yesterday it was awesome.

This morning it's a little higher, but blood pressure is always high in the morning.

If you see me float by, make sure to wave.

Glad it's not 10 pounds up-- how's that?

    Later!

So far, so good. Got up, ran 2 miles, went to the gym, did my new chest/back lifting routine. Hated it. Need to revamp, it was too choppy. So much for incorporating P90X. Went to step class. I hit over 1,000 calories! First I've done that in a long time. It felt good.

I am going to start a list, it's going to be all the reasons I need to do this for ME. I am going to add one reason every day until I truly can't come up with any more to add.

Reason #1: Because I'm worth it

Yeah, Lori!! What she said-- you are soooooo worth it. I'm so excited for you.

Okay-- so sneaky me just bought a can of paint for my girls' bedroom. I've never had a life where I can just say, "You know, tomorrow, I think I'm going to paint my room." Oh no-- it has to be hubs' decision, and then hubs painting. (I'll leave it unsaid that the room would then be left partially undone-- or, then, again maybe I won't-- muahahahaha)

Cat's away this week, mouse is PAINTING!!!!!!!!

I also bought some flowers to plant and a planter for outside-- home improvement time, my friends!

Ok so everyone on here know I share my story often...because I am super proud of myself..Well I talked to alady at work a few months ago and told her my story and gave her my number and told her if she needed anything to text or call and I would try to help her..well she called last night and she wants to meet me at the gym here in about 10 minutes..I am nervous..because I work out hard and often. I dont want her to get discouraged because I am doing more or less then her...So ya;ll keep me in your prayers we are gonna workout for an hour. I alreadt burned 635 calories this morning so I will have to eat something small when I get done becasue I think I only ate about 1300 calories today plus I worked for 5 hours running my tail off!!

Hope everyone has a great day

Tomorrow I will go to the gym in the morning and then tomorrow ar 4 pm I will meet with my personal trainer for my last visit...she is gonna KILL me!!

    Ok off I go!!
