I'm 5'2.5" and my goal weight was 120lb, then I got there and decided to shoot for 115lb and toned which looks better on me. At 120lb I had a pretty high fat %. When I was training for triathlons I got to 108lbs and it wasn't a good look.
I second the comment to go to mybodygallery.com. You can enter in your height and different weights and see photos of people at those weights. There is a big difference depending on frame size, body shape and how much muscle they have. Worth a look!0 -
I'm 5'3"
SW: 154.4 (size 14)
CW: 113 (size 5/6)
I'm pear shaped and very small framed (fingers overlap around my wrists), but I tend to be hippy (3 kids).

Hey everyone,
I am 5'3 and a half and currently weigh 164 lbs, down from 175 lbs. I am undecided on what my GW should be but thinking somewhere between 130 and 140 lbs.
If any of you are of similar height and within this weight range I would love to see photos, success stories etc so I can get an idea of what that weight may look like on me. I understand that everyone has different shapes and carries weight differently, but it's still fun to share photos and get motivation from other MFP users!
get your body fat percentage measured, then you can calculate what your goal weight should be from that. Choose what body fat percentage you'd prefer (you can get pictures online of what women look like at different body fat percentages) and then you can use maths to calculate how many lbs of fat you need to lose to get there.
people have different frame sizes, so what a large framed 5'3" person looks like at 140lb is very different to what a small framed 5'3" person looks like at the same weight, because the small framed person would be carrying a lot more fat (i.e. higher body fat percentage) at the same weight. You can't easily measure frame size, you can estimate it but they don't work for everyone. However getting your body fat percentage measured a reliable way (e.g. with callipers by someone who knows what they're doing) is a good way to see how much actual fat you are carrying, and how much you need to lose to look the way you want to look. The healthy range for body fat percentage is the same regardless of height and frame size. It varies a little by age, and also by gender (i.e. use charts that show ideal body fat percentages for women your age).0 -

My profile pic is me at 135. I'm 5'3. I tried for years to get below 120- until about 6 months ago when I saw the light and am finally starting to focus on body composition and clean eating rather than the scale.0 -
I am 5'3 and I weighed 170 pounds when I started the diet. Last year I lost down to 158 by dieting and exercising on the Bowflex Treadclimber 120. I gained 3 or 4 pounds in December and joined MyFitnessPal in January, 2013. I have lost down to 159. My goal weight is 135-140.

I'm 5'4" and I started out at 155 pounds. I want to get down to 130 pounds as my goal. I'm losing pretty slowly because I'm 65 years old, but I've lost 17 1/2 pounds so far and have about 6 1/2 pounds to go.0

My name is Carmella, I'm 5'3 and at 170 working towards getting down to 120-130. Lets keep in touch.0

You lady look hotter than a hot thing in a very hot place. Absolutely awesome transformation in a relatively short time frame. Great inspiration!1 -
I am 5'3. I am at goal now and maintaining. I started out at 159 and my initial goal was 140. When I got there I changed it to 135 then 130.
My advice, set your goal at 140 then change if you feel like when you get there. I am very happy with 130. To me it was hard to not keep losing but I knew it was time to stop when I started to get too many skinny comments from folks not being sarcastic/mean.0 -
I'm 5'3 and currently weigh 139. I started at 210. All of my weight is in my hips. My goal weight is 130, but I've had a hard time getting there, seems like my body doesn't agree!0

I'm 5'3". Started at 170 and I'm currently 142-143. My profile pic was taken yesterday. My main goal is 133. But based on previous weights, I think my ultimate goal will be more around 128. I believe that puts me right in the middle of a healthy BMI.0

I'm 5'3" and have a small frame. Before I got pregnant I was 115 and very happy with my weight. My profile pic is me at 122lbs (18 weeks pregnant though, so the extra weight is mostly belly). I agree with pp- set a fat % goal instead of or at least in addition to a weight goal.0

Hello I'm 5'3 140lbs currently building muscle but still fat around my midsection. I did not want to lose anymore weight because when I was 132lbs everyone said I was too skinny but I may have to continue losing weight in order to lose this belly fat.0

Kind of an oddity here by wanting to stay heavier but I am 5'4 SW: 207 CW: 181 GW: 170. I started off at a slight deficit a year ago and worked on learning how to lift with the goal of reducing body fat and preserving lean mass.
I am close to my goal weight and will be working on bodybuilding and recomposition. At 181, I have visible obliques and some definition cuts coming in. I can currently fit into a size 8-10 depending on style and brand. I carry most of my weight in my legs. My goal is to lean out to around 17% BF at a weight of 170. I don't know my current BF% but I will be getting tested before I start my recomp to track progress.0 -
