Bread, pasta and cable? What's left? LOL

Nothing. I gave up beer for 14 days last summer and drank more wine to compensate - giving up food doesn't help me much!

Hopefully 8 or 9 lbs of fat...
  • This content has been removed.
  • I do not normally give up anything for lent... however this year I am thinking of giving up alcohol. I do love a nice glass of wine.
I am still deciding I have a few more days....

Being that I already cut so much of the "good stuff" from my daily diet, I'm uncertain. I was thinking of giving up all sweets but to be honest, sticking with 1,200 calories per day doesn't allow for a whole lot of that to begin with. I think I may do something non-food related this Lent. Maybe sacrifice needless shopping or something like that? Trips to Target? Ugh, that would be PAINFUL! Lol! Maybe episodes of The Real Housewives and VanDerPump Rules? The options are endless!

Cokes which I already did that 2 yrs ago. Nothin really. Everything in moderation is key for me. I can't give up the food I love. But I am trying to cut out MORE processed stuff.. And learn to read the ingredients better.

I'll be giving up pop :( I just have about one per day, but I used to live on it and I've been having it more than usual lately. I need to break the habit before it gets really out of hand.

    Diet Cherry 7-Up

It's the only diet soda I've found that I like, and I don't drink as much of it as I used to drink Coke, but I still have about a can a day and I could do without.

Cutting out soda will be hard but well worth it! I gave it up years ago and now every time I drink it, it feels like fire going down my throat.
  • I'm giving up being an atheist born into a Catholic family. Just kidding. I may not have faith, but I still have a fondness for some of the traditions. It is my heritage, after all, good bad and ugly. I'm giving up wearing lipstick and drinking diet cherry cola. I also want to volunteer more.

Years ago at church (when I was still a practicing catholic) the priest asked this little boy what he was giving up. The boy answered "Homework" the preist told him he'd better discuss that with his mom first.

seriously, I am giving up chocolate for the month of February...at least. let's see if I can make it to Easter.

Heroine and Crack I have even seen either one of them so it shouldn't be too hard on me.
  • I'm giving up giving up anything for Lent, or for any other reason! Whenever I say "never" it bites me in the *kitten* anyway!
