Nice try. You still have to shovel your part of the sidewalk.

DONT OUT ME! I was going to sell this to my neighbors!

Don't forget... if you pack it tightly and drizzle it with cherry syrop, it counts towards your daily fruit requirements

"WHOA! She said, "Pack it tightly"! Gotta get me some of that! yeah..." *B!tc#Slap

Snow has negative calories. You'll shed about 5lb eating a garden-full.

    Bingo!
Combine snow, celery, and raspberry ketones and you've got the latest weight loss supplement.

If I add raspberry keytones to my snow cone, does THAT ALSO count towards my fruit needs?
What about all that unhealthy sugar?

As long as you eat them upside down, under a walnut tree, you'll be fine. If you eat them under any other tree besides a walnut tree the unhealthy sugar will turn straight to fat and go to your forehead.

Unfortunately, due to pollution and acid rain, you'd be ingesting an exorbitant amount of toxins by eating snow. You would need to cleanse immediately after doing this.

If I walk around wrapped in plastic, will that be a sufficient way to manage the toxins?

Only if you use Saran Wrap brand.

    And take pictures.

my FL knows I'm good for pictures... but I only buy the cheap stuff from Costco

I'm in Edmonton. I should probably eat snow too, my backyard is overfilled with the stuff right now. But I'd probably log it under "unflavored sno-cones" as opposed to water.

You're eating it, not drinking it, so no, it doesn't count.

what if I let it melt in my mouth first?

But if we chew it wouldnt that be like those negative calorie foods....yeah I think it would burn off more calories to chew it than to drink it making it a win win situation. Yeah Id go with that.....

    So, it's settled:
    • Avoid non-white snow, because that's extra calories
    • If you melt it before drinking, then it's easier to measure
    • If you let it melt in your mouth first, you temporarily increase metabolic burn rate
    • If you munch it on down, then you also get a negative caloric intake
<furiously takes notes to publish on Wikipedia>

Don't forget... if you pack it tightly and drizzle it with cherry syrop, it counts towards your daily fruit requirements

Thank you Mirey, for proper credit. I am assuming this is a profit sharing venture.

Good question. We've got snow falling here in Boston. If I go outside and stick my tongue out, how long would it take for me to catch enough flakes of snow to equal a cup of water?

You could probably even log that as exercise.

Wait a second - bicep chest has an awesome idea here. Calorie is the amount of energy required to increase the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 deg C.

This means that if you consume water that's no more than 36 deg C, one less than body temp 37 C, you will be consuming negative calories for EVERY GRAM OF WATER!!!

HOLY **** SOMEONE GET A PEN!!!

Actually............... that might be accurate. Get your possible facts out of my FACE.

You know what this also means . . . HOT WATER MAKES YOU FAT. OMG everything we thought we knew about diet and nutrition was completely wrong!!

That's why tea doesn't count as water, obviously.

I live in canada too, born and raised. I love to eat snow, its my favorite way to get my water intake. I eat about 15 cups of snow per day, and I love taking my dog sled out to find fresh untouched snow to munch on. watch out for polar bears though....if i see one i hide in my igloo, they can never find me. :)

how do you manage the brain freeze?

how big is your igloo? want company?

I'm also Canadian. This just made my sh*tty day so much better!

Only yellow snow counts, avoid the white snow...
  • As a weather person.....and a pro nutritionist.....AND a tax specialist: No it does not count because snow isn't water and that's just silly to even ask.

Gotta make sure it's devoid of twigs, dirt, pee, leaves etc. or it counts as food.

I grew up in a little town with a paper mill. If you wanted to live to see age 40 you didn't eat the snow.

I've heard that a good shot of cider vinegar really mitigates the risk here...so maybe try that.

remember... this will have to be adjusted if you have to run around to catch them. If you break a sweat, you're instantly dehydrating yourself.
