I am 5'6" and started at 170 pounds at Xmas.... I'm currently 155....I measure from my adjusted RMR (1350) and subtract 125 daily (a third of pound per week based on calories) so I aim for 1225 cals consumed daily and I average 500-800 exercise calories daily....and I have been losing 1-2 pounds weekly consistently

I started out at 192 last month and have lost 6 lbs. Monday - Friday I try to stick around 1300 give or take 50 calories or so. I keep it low on those days because weekends are a challenge for me. I know I'll eat more on weekends so I look at it as a certain number of calories over a week rather than a daily thing. Works for me.0

I'm 5' 2.9" and 148lbs. I eat about 1616 /day. I just upped my calories from 1416. Right now as I adjust to a higher intake, I only eat half of my exercise calories back.0

Remember that your RMR calories do not include anything outside of lying in bed staying alive. The instant you get out of bed to go to the bathroom you are burning more than that. With that stats you gave your current TDEE is 2167 (or so) so you are actually at a deficit of 942 calories a day.0 -

I started at 175 and am now 142. I am 5'7". I try to eat 1200 per day but lately it has been more like 1400. the last 10 pounds are really difficult for me but the first part was easy as can be.0

According to my TDEE - 20% calculations, 1900 a day (a bit lower than the 1997 calculation TDEE gave me, actually). I'm 5'2 and weigh 227.0

started at 136 now at 116 pounds. I am trying to maintain and I am in the process of increasing my calories to reach my maintenance of around 1800. i currently eat at around 1600 and am still losing a bit. I am slowly increasing the calories up to maintenance as I found I felt really bloated and uncomfortable when I initally switched to maintenance calories - the sudden jump up by basically one whole extra evening meal's worth of calories was just too much to stomach. Now I am nearly there with the calories and can't believe I am still losing.0

I have a range, rather than a hard line. I try to shoot between 1200 (MFP's recommendation) and 1500 (heybales' calculation). I'm usually at the upper end of that range (which is fine, food is good).
My macro split is set to 50/25/25 fat/protein/carbs.0 -
I'm 5'6, I started at 226, and now I'm at 146. I just reached goal, so I've been working up to my maintenance calories of 1690 according to MFP. For the past week I've been at 1600 a day. At first it seemed like I was eating sooo much, but I got used to it real quick. I'm still a little afraid I'll suddenly gain it all back (I know that's not at all realistic, but it's my secret fear), but I've stayed in control so far. I'm going to stay at 1600 for now, but if I continue to lose I will bump it up. Oh, and I always eat my exercise calories back and thoroughly enjoy it!
My macros are at 35.35.30, but I may change that to 40.40.20. I'm going to experiment, try to stick to healthy fats, keep an eye on my cholesterol, and see what works for me.0 -
Thanks for all the input. Some of the things you guys are talking about I have no clue. I haven't figured all that out. When I lost the weight I only stayed within my calorie range. i also don't take into consideration my excercise calories. I feel any excercise is a bonus.0

47yo Male, 218 -> 202 in 6 weeks. I'm using 5:2 and on the 5 days I have to stay under 1200 or I put weight on, then 2 days at 550 in fast mode gives me 7-8000 cals total per week. I have a very,very sedentary lifestyle until the Cricket season starts :-)0

i am 159cm, 59.8kg and my bMR is about 1400. eating 1600 on non exercise days (which is pretty much this whole month). will be upping to about 1800-2000 on heavy weights and cardio days. i hate cardio though so i do HIIT or boxing or aerobics0

232 and at 1660 calories a day. mon, wed, and fri i do strength trainings. everyday i do an hour or more of cardio. i allow myself one cheat day a week. usually Saturdays me and the man will eat pizza or something that will put me over my calories for the day. doing this i have lost 33 lbs since jan 1st.0

I am 5'3" 159 lbs and mine is 1800 a day...and don't eat back exercise calories. I have lost a pound a week since January 1st. I have one "cheat" day usually once a week where I eat about 2100 calories. My BMR is 1500 my TDEE is 2300.0

I'm 150 lbs and eat 1950 per day without eating back exercise cals. I usually end up under that but go over significantly one day a week, so it all averages out.

I eat around 1100-1200 a day.. struggle to eat more than that, im not losing weight because my bodies holding on to all the fat I get, but feel much healthier in myself not really looking to lose weight, more to build muscle remember - skinny is NOT beautiful!!0

I have my goal set to 1320 on MFP but I usually eat 1400-1700 calories/day depending on how active I am.
I'm netting typically around 1250-1300, which is over my BMR of 1180, but below my TDEE of about 1800-2200 (on days I work out or are very active I eat a bit more).
I'm just shy of 5'0 and weigh 115lbs.0
