We went ahead and signed up for a gym membership for me, since the ligament stratching and sciatica have been so bad that the only exercise I can do right now is swimming. It's been awesome, but I'm not a very good swimmer so hoping to improve that so I get a better work out from it. :-) Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Good for you! You might notice that just some swimming to get your muscles moving might really help! My right side hurt last night - I thought of you :)

I've got my 25 week doc appointment tomorrow and I have to get the whole glucose test done. I hate needles and blood.

shoppingqueen - good luck on your appointment. i hate that yucky drink, too. who likes it?
angela- enjoy your swimming :smooched: do they offer any classes?

jalara - congrats on working so hard to achieve your dreams.

I'm being really good about logging my meals like I use to. It helps me stay in control of my eating. It's only beena couple of days, but I'm proud to get back on track :)

Thanks! Doc appt went well. My OB measured my belly for the first time - I guess I'm getting "that" big. She told me I was measuring big. FAB! I was only up 4 lbs from last appt, so at least that was good. 25 weeks and a total of 17.5 lbs. I guess that's not bad. She told me that on average I would gain about a pound a week from this point on....15 more lbs! Holy Molely!:noway:

So glad the appointment went well just think of the gain to be all baby at this point. She is growing and soon will be out for you to hold just keep logging it will keep you from too much weight gain. I just keep logging to help keep me on track. I had two stinking oreo cookies and that was like an additional 170 calories so not worth it next time I am picking up an apple or a pear for my sweet tooth.

Yessie75 - they do have water aerobic classes, but I haven't tried them yet, I wanted to check with my doc first to be sure it's ok. Anyone do water aerobics while pregnant before?

I was up 1.5lbs this week. I have a feeling a lot of it is water weight after my saltine cracker and Sprit binge yesterday (Thanks to the food poisoning from Olive Garden):noway:

I just realized that one month from today.....I could be getting pregnant. Maybe more info than you need, but it is VERY exciting:bigsmile:

No change this week. I had two birthday parties this past weekend and went a bit overboard on the cake, so I'm just happy that I didn't gain.

Hello everyone! I have enjoyed reading your posts. Congrats to all the mommies to be and good luck to those pursuing it! My name is Christy and I am now 26 1/2 weeks pregnant with a little girl. My pre-pregnancy weight was around 168 and now I am at 189. Not too excited about the amount of weight gain, but I knew it was inevitable. I have been doing much better than with my daughter, who is 9. I gained 60 pounds with her (16 in one month).

I am trying really hard, but it is stressful this time of year! I am a special needs elementary teacher, pursuing my master's in special education, and just got married last month!!

In response to the names, we have picked out Kenza Elise for our little girl. Kenza is a Berber name - my husband is from Algeria - that means treasure.

Boys: We talked about Holden (after my maiden name of Holt) or Hugh (after my dad who is Hubert).

Hope to get to know you guys!!

Hey girls I actually made weigh in on Wednesday yay:smile: currently 165.2 this morning and 7 weeks pregnant I am glad its been a 1 lb gain I only have another 5 weeks to keep it steady for the first trimester and then may see a huge gain in the second who knows. Feeling good a little queasy this week I think its my nose I seem to feel more uneasy with all the funky smells I seem to encounter. Any advice for the queasiness? Still working on one more final Friday I get to celebrate and will be going to a pampered chef party. Hope everyone has a good week. :flowerforyou:

Can I join in? We are currently ttc and I am (as always) trying to lose weight as well. I have a 4 year old... prior to having him I had a miscarriage and then a LONG time of ttc to get pregnant with him. Infertility testing then showed I have insulin resistance so I am *hoping* that staying on metformin (I've not been too consistent with taking it but am logging it every day now in an attempt to be consistent!) will help me get (and stay) pregnant more quickly this time.

As for names, I have no idea... I changed my mind completely on names between first ttc and naming my little boy now and I don't even know that I want to think that far ahead!

Hello to all the new people!

Melody G - I hae to say that I really like the goals you've set for yourself. MFP is nototious for focusing on weight, but I like that your's are about health.

jennymission - Fingers are crossed for you!

I haven't weighed in this week, as I'm waiting until next week to see how I've done. I find it takes about 2 weeks for the weight to be really gone (if that makes any sense). I find I fluctuate all week, and then when I log that I lost I'll jump back up the next day, so I though I would wait and try every 2nd week instead!

Personal training is going well so far. Ihad to take today off b/c I could barely function yesterday (early mornings take a toll!)

    Hello to everyone else!

I invite someone to put up a new challenge. I'm out of ideas :)

Thanks! I did Weight Watchers for a few months a few years ago. I lose weight REALLY slowly (it took me 8 months to lose 20 pounds following WW religiously) and I know that setting a # of pounds to lose just sets myself up for disappointment. So I try to focus on the things I can control like tracking food, getting in water and veggies, etc. :)

I've got a challenge question....it may have been asked already because I haven't read all the threads
    But:
Would you like to know the sex of your baby or be surprised?

jalara - I totally understand the weighing in every two weeks. I am beginning to find the same problem. One week I loose, the next week I gain, and so forth. I think I am going to try your two week system!

Welcome to all the newbies. It is very exciting hearing everyone's stories.

Paldal- I like the challenge this week!

I am undecided, and so is my husband. I am a severe planner, almost obsessive compulsive about planning, and I am afraid that is going to kick in. But I think I will try to not find out. I feel like there are only a few big surprises in life, and this is one that no one can spoil for me!!
