Haven't read the whole thread, so don't know if anyone has posted it, but

    The Stoning of Soraya M.

It's an amazing movie but you are crying nearly the entire way through. It's a rough watch.

Man on Fire..made me cry so much, i only have to hear the music and start sobbing like a loon lol...

    Me too.

Am I weird? I don't cry during that movie... It has a couple of my favorite scenes in any movie ever.... I die laughing at multiple parts (one should be obvious)... but yeah, I guess the end is sad... but the awesome torture scenes are just so ridiculous it completely outweighs the sad in my mind.

Requiem for a Dream is easily the most screwed up film I have ever watched. I love movies with no happy ending, but that one just took the cake. Four diverging stories, all of which end up in the ****ter before it's over.

Schindler's List--- (and I'm not even Jewish)

Requiem for a Dream (and I'm not even a heroin addict).

I saw this in the theater. It was hard to swallow! Took everything I had not to get up and walk out...I was so angered at the treatment of this woman, and these poor women in general.
  • It really doesn't take much to make me cry. Since having a kid, I cry at commercials

    Beaches
Marley & Me (my dog died yesterday and can't even think about watching this for awhile)
Any movie based off a Nicholas Sparks book, somebody always dies

For those of you that said My Sister's Keeper...the book made me cry even more than the movie

Twilight - made me cry from laughter. Best. Comedy. EVER.

I don't watch films that are MEANT to upset a person.

But Die Hard made me cry. Oh that man... *sniffle* So brave. So good...

I wasn't thinking about movies that just make you cry here. I was thinking of movies that change your view on life. Because many of these are based on or inspired by true stories, they tend to pull at the heart strings.

My heart strings don't like being pulled. ;)

But taken from that perspective, there was this movie about a little orphan boy who becomes a musical genius that was pretty darn good. AND it had a happy ending (the only kind of ending I will tolerate). August Rush I think? Totally implausible but it definitely made me cry at the end when he meets his parents finally.

I watched it on Netflix. It took me a couple of days to get through it because I kept getting so upset. When they finally get to the actual stoning scene, oh. my. god., I was a mess.

    Up.... Toy Story 3... Bambi.

Any movie where an animal dies or gets hurt. Old Yelled and The Yearling come to mind.

The Sea Inside. It is a Spanish movie based on a true story of a man who broke his neck and is now bedridden who is petitioning thegovernment for assisted suicide. I bawled.

    Dangerous Beauty.

The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas.

    Life is Beautiful.

Radio Flyer. I can't wait kids get hurt.

Shindlers List. I can't finish that movie.

I cry so easily, whether it is due to the movie being sad or something really great happened...I'm a sap.....
  • Into the Wild.

    I loved this!

No movie has ever touched me that way. I felt way too in tune with Chris McCandless.

I cried as in full on sobbed in
I am Legend (I literally can not watch that movie anymore)
La Vita E Bella (Italian movie about a father and son in a Nazi concentration camp)
Six Feet Under series finale (TV show on HBO but I full sob every time I finish the series... it's the best 15 minutes of TV ever IMO)

I'm sure there are more but those are my full on sobbing ones.

They were just playing that Sia song that they play in the Six Feet Under finale in the mall and I swear I was tearing up in JC Penney. lol. That crapped on my heart, in the good way. I miss that show so much.

Most embarrassing tear jerker moment: I cried when Wilson floated away in Castaway (in my defense, I was pregnant at the time).

Who DIDN'T cry when Wilson floated away? No defense needed!

Grave of the Fireflies - it has already been mentioned but it's about the saddest film I've ever seen, and it's based on a true story.

Breaking the Waves - a really haunting film that kept preying on my mind after I saw it.
