The tom yum soup looks killer, Kyle. So good. And as always your salmon and veggies looks both healthy and delicious.
Shov - I went to the asian market today and picked up some nori! Sushi burritos are in my future...
sara_m - Sweet tacos! Looks delish! Do you have a recipe for the tofu satay?
Britt- Great pics your food looks wonderful.
I obviously need to get on this halomi kick, but I feel like it's another product we don't have in Canada... I've never even heard of it! I've also now got major cravings for rice paper rolls... That's a weekend event for sure but damn, they are good. Homemade peanut sauce. Mmmm.0 -
Bump! Post in here tomorrow night after I've taken a few pictures. Interesting!0

There is definitely halloumi in Canada. Look for it in the deli section or at a deli itself. I like mine with eggs for breakfast.
As for the satay tofu, the brand I buy has a bunch of marinated flavours and so there's no recipe. However, you could easily marinate your own - just buy some satay sauce or look up an easy satay recipe online - you'd want to marinate for a few hours though so the flavour seeps through.0 -

And thanks for the satay suggestion. Jerk tofu is up next for me but maybe after that!0 -

Wow, this thread is flying. Great work. Haloumi and tomato soup - amazing idea (seconding that haloumi is available in Canada. I've seen it at No Frills, although I think of it more as a summer thing because you usually grill it so not sure how prevalent it is now). Also, I will have to try raspberries with cottage cheese, definitely. May hold off on the root beer gum though.
You guys are killing me with the froyo/gelato. I did pureed frozen kiwi, banana, cocoa powder and yogurt to tide me over (with almond butter on toast), but I hope to get out for the real deal soon)
Boring but delicious breakfast: bran flakes, berries, banana and milk
Rutabaga soup with chicken bacon wrap:
I'm in a bulk produce-buying program so I don't always know what fruit/veg are going to show up each week and I've never had rutabaga, but supposedly it's like turnip, which I don't really like. Made into soup with onions, which I'm also not crazy about, and pureed, it is surprisingly tasty. Might even get a rutabaga and make it again at some point, although not soon.
Kind of on a wrap kick - tuna salad:

Day off meant hitting the city for some eats
Couldn't decide which burger I wanted, so got both
Betty Burger (1/2 lb sirloin, confit pork belly, avocado, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, roasted garlic aioli & runny sunny side up egg)
Was too messy to get a good shot after cutting it in half
Tur-Duck-En Burger (Homemade stuffing, southern style gravy, homemade cranberry sauce & sweet potato ribbons)
Mixed berry bread pudding
Rose Blossom Sundae (Velvet red wine rose cake and Cherry Butter Almond Ice Cream embrace a decadent drizzle of house made hot fudge. Adorned simply with rosettes of sparkling wine meringue)
Monster brownie

This is my all time favourite salad, the warmer the weather gets the more I have it. It's only around 350 calories, it's lovely with a bit of crusty bread too. When I do my usual weights it works out as:
Calories 344 Carbohydrates 21 Fat 20 Saturated Fat 6 Protein 20
It contains a peppery rocket salad, cherry vine tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, Italian dressing, giant couscous, edamame and some light buffalo mozzarella.
