I am 5'2". I am new also. Been on since late Jan. You can add me. I can relate... #thestruggle
  • Hey friends! Please add me! I am 5'0" and I can TOTALLY relate to the myriad dilemmas we short people face when it comes to weight loss... a tiny gain or loss looks so obvious, and we're not even supposed to be eating that many calories a day even if we exercise, so it's hard to create a deficit while still maintaining a nourishing diet. This also makes gaining weight super easy because a tiny snack can put us over our limits. :*(

    Short people, unite!

I couldn't agree more, 5'2" and basic calories to maintain weight is around 1,500 or as I like to call it nothing!! down around 1,350 to try and lose the pounds that class me as overweight according to BMI (and the mirror)

    I'm 5'1" and I completely understand.

I remember a little while ago when I researched my ideal weight and got about 115lbs :noway: (or around that. I don't remember the exact number.) I've never been that weight, not even in high school when I felt good about my body. Anyway, I'm aiming for 130lbs and we'll see what happens from there.

Also, my younger sister is 5'7" and weighs much less than me. It makes me jealous but it's also a good motivator.

Please add me!:flowerforyou: I'd love to have more friends I can relate to on this stie.
  • I'm 5'2" but medium frame so the recommendations for my height on a low range make me look sickly. trying to fina weight that is healthy and easy to maintain. and uh yeah...sometimes I'm surprised when I get on a scale and it only has a 5lb gain because my clothes act like I gained much more. I'd love to have some other shortie fitness pals!

I wasn't very specific.. I'm 5'0" but haven't measured myself in many years and I"m sure I have shrunk being that I'm 43 years old and shrinking runs in my family haha. I have sent a few friend requests, but there are soooo many here so I stopped sending new requests, as it would take a very long time to send everyone. lol. I have made a few cool "consistent" friends here, ones who give, not just take. I will be cleaning up my friend list later today because I want consistent friendships here, ones who not only take positive feedback or encouragement, but also those who give it, as well as those who actually want to have a friendship here as well. I also think it's a good topic you chose "vertically challenged" lol....this make sense that maybe we can relate and help each other. Thanks for posting ... ;)
