    I got my bike out yesterday. It is still freezing, but the roads are clear of snow (until today's storm). I have 2 flat tires and the air pump that I have doesn't have the right connecter. I definately need to get better supplies. I'm hoping to have a field trip to the bike shop this weekend to get the bike looked over and ready for riding again.

    That stinks that it wasn't in the condition you expected, but it will be fun to go to the bike shop and get the things you need. Every time I step foot in there, I feel like I'm at Saks 5th Avenue---nice to look/dream, but I can't afford anything there. My hubby buys all his cycling supplies (even our bikes!) online!

    I've set myself a goal of completing my first 'century ride' in the summer so I've started training for that.
    My PB is 80 miles in a day and I'm thinking this might be the last chance to hit the 100 before my dodgy knee gives up on me.

    Training this week:
    40 mile ride on my hybrid last Sunday (frozen feet!)
    40 min high intensity on Spinning bike
    60 min low intensity on Spinning bike

    Hope to get outdoors this weekend but weather forecast is grim....

    The only thing that I've ever gotten at the bike store was my bike, and it was on clearance. I have a warranty on my tires, so I will have them checked out and make sure they have no holes. I'm afraid that all my other supplies come from Wal-Mart.:laugh:

    It rained during today's ride, but it went well! I asked because I am worried if sliding/gliding is pretty probable. The bikes I am using though are fairly big beasts.

    Just the thread I was looking for. My goal for the month is to do 100km. I wish I could do it outside but we still have lots of snow here, so the stationary it is.

    I didn't set any goal this month since my computer is misbehaving and won't track indoor miles. But today I got to ride outdoors! I was mentally noting what trainer riding had affected or improved. Strength and endurance not as much as I hoped. But I would guess my cadence was up by about 10 rpm. I basing this on when riding a relatively flat stretch and checking it 2 or 3 times.

    Our weather has been weird, so I set my goal low. I also bought this bike subscription worried if I would use it enough...but I haven't stopped using it since the first day! I mainly go home because my partner needs a rest. We are going out of town, so if we are lucky we will get to bike.

    Well, thanks to this thread, I got over what ever it was...and went back to the gym!! Not ready for the bike shorts yet...or my road bike, but did a half hour on the bike at the Y. According it's computer 6.5 miles. It's a start!.

    i'm 1,165 minutes in on the exercise bike this March. and many more.

    exercise bike is my favorite winter workout.
