I usually dice up a small red bell pepper, add egg, salt and pepper, minced garlic and a 4 oz container of feta cheese. I also will usually do 1 pound 97% turkey and 1 pound 97% lean ground beef.. I usually eat this with baked sweet potato fries, so good.

I like mixing in 1/4 cup of Teriyaki sauce per pound of meat, and then dividing into burgers and grilling them.

I make turkey meatloaf that my family absolutely loves. You could make this recipe, then divide it into burgers. Make some, freeze the others for another day.

48 oz. Jennie O lean ground turkey
    2 eggs
1 small, unsweetened container apple sauce
    drizzle of low-sugar maple syrup
    Diced onion to taste
About 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs (more or less for the right consistency)
Season with salt, pepper and crushed rosemary.
    Mix everything together.

Form into 2 meatloaves or several burgers.
  • I use Jennie-O ground turkey 1 serving burger (1/4 pound), then I pour 1 serving of Huli Huli sauce over burger. I keep adding water to keep sauce from burning and getting sticky. When burger is done I let water cook off. I top with 1 slice Tillamook Cheddar cheese. I eat it with no bun and a squirt of Sriracha sauce. It is very yummy!!

    TURKEY BURGERS WITH CRANBERRY-PEACH CHUTNEY
    1 pound ground turkey breast
    1 large egg white
    1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    Cooking spray
    4 lettuce leaves
    4 (1 1/2-ounce) whole wheat hamburger buns
    1/3 cup prepared cranberry chutney
    1/3 cup finely chopped peaches
1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions

    PREPARATION
    1. Combine turkey and next 3 ingredients. Divide turkey mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2-inch-thick patty.
    2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; coat pan with cooking spray. Add patties; cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until a thermometer registers 165°.
    3. Place 1 lettuce leaf on bottom half of each bun; top each with 1 burger. Spread 2 tablespoons Cranberry-Peach Chutney on inside of each bun top; place each on top of 1 burger.

We keep ours really simple, too. Extra lean ground turkey and pepper. Topped with lettuce and tomatoes. I like to add steak sauce, my hubby mayo, and my son adds bbq sauce to his.

I love green chili's, so I add a can into the mix and then pat out the patties. So yummy!

I use this recipe for a basic burger and add a slice of reduced fat provolone. I also increase the teriyaki sauce to give it more flavor.

I love this site... search "turkey burgers" and you will find a ton of good ideas.

I don't make them from scratch, but I love the Nature's Rancher brand turkey burgers. I get them in the frozen section at Whole Foods. They are the only brand I've found that I like.

    Caprese Turkey Burger:

    Ground Turkey
Onions (I prefer sweet for this)
    Salt and Black Pepper
    Fresh Basil
    Cherry Tomatoes
Mozzarella or Veggie Shreds in Mozzarella

Combine all of the ingredients except for the basil, tomatoes, and mozarella. Form the patty (pretty thin) and form a small pocket in the center. Add chopped basil, thinly sliced tomatoes, and diced mozzarella to that pocket and cover with another thin layer of meat. Cook through! YUM!!

    onion powder
    chopped mushroom (keeps it moist)

My kitchen is not completely functioning so I use my mom's on the weekend and cook all my food for work for the next two weeks. So these are made with the intention of being frozen and then microwaved.

    1lb ground turkey [99%] lean
    1 whole egg
1/4 c italian style bread crumbs
    ~3 tsp of honey mustard

Makes 6 burgers, and are around 144 calories* 3 carbs, 3 fat, 26 protein, and 130 sodium.

*I usually fry these in the pan I cooked my bacon in, or put them on the Forman after I've cooked bacon on it, so there is about 1tsp of bacon grease included in the calorie count.
